Vehicle Detail

Very Nice, 2001 Suzuki Bandit 1200S. One owner (me). Never wrecked, never even tipped over in the garage. Always garaged it's whole life. Lots of extras!! Great condition both cosmetically and mechanically. This is a really great sport touring machine with endless capabilities! As shown in the photos there is a little belt buckle/jacket zipper rash on the rear of the tank just to the left of the magnetic protector. I showed it with and without the protector so you won't think I'm hiding any scratches. Also, there is a little bit of my right boot heel on the exhaust pipe (I got figity on a 12 hour ride and let my boot rest where you shouldn't), also shown in the photos. Everything else looks good with only ordinary wear. In addition to the normal 1200S Bandit features (1157cc, air/oil cooled, 16 valve, etc...) I have made the following changes (most of them in the first and second years I owned it): * Dale Walker's Holeshot Performance Stage I jet kit with +5 degree timing advancer (small horsepower gain, smoother power band and I gained 3-4 mpg to average 46mpg, my best mileage ever was 52mpg * Dale Walker's Holeshot Performance Exhaust racing canister (really sounds sweet without being loud - if you're only interested in loud it won't excite you - if you like a nice growl under throttle and a bass purr at idle you'll like it a lot) * Dale Walker's Holeshot Performance 1 3/8" handlebar riser (this really makes long rides easier on the arms/back) * GIVI smoke windscreen, which is just a little bit taller than the original and smoke instead of clear, it deflects air better than the original and looks better (my opinion) * black fiberglass hugger for the rear wheel, made by Pyramid Plastics (looks good and keeps the underside cleaner) * Dale Walker's Holeshot Performance Galfer Braided stainless front brake lines (night and day difference in braking - should have been original equipment) * Dale Walker's Holeshot Performance Heavy Duty Rear Axle Nut and Washer (just makes maintenance easier when you do your chain adjustments, change tires, etc.) * Niagra Race Crafters billeted side covers (these serve a similar purpose as "pucks" or "sliders" if the bike goes down, except instead of protecting the frame/plastic, they actually protect the motor - fortunately I never tested them - should have painted them black, but just never did...) * rear turn signal eliminator, (The Integrator Kit made by M.D. Wright Inc.) that allowed me to remove the rear turn signals and now the tail light is a combination tail light, brake light, turn signal. * solid Bar Snake (supposed to reduce handle bar vibrations and reduce hand fatigue on long rides - it didn't make much difference in my opinion, but it didn't hurt anything either - so live and learn) You can go to www.holeshot.com and get the specifics on all of the above items except the side covers and the Givi windscreen. You can get the scoop on those at www.nrcracing.com and www.giviusa.com. It has Michelin Pilot Roads that are about three years old, but still have plenty of good miles left on them. The battery was also replaced about three years ago. I have personally performed all regular maintenance (oil change, valve adjustments, chain adjustments, etc.). It has never had any repairs or replacement parts other than noted. It has aways run well without any issues. I am located in Central Ohio (a few miles south of Canal Winchester) and will make the bike available for inspection with reasonable notice, so if you live close enough to come take a look or know someone to come take a look for you, that's fine. The bike is also for sale locally, and the listing may be cancelled at any time if it sells. Any shipping arrangements must be handled/arranged by the buyer. Again, I will accomodate any reasonable arrangement. Ordinary EBay requirements on payment are expected ($500.00 by PayPal within 48 hours and balance by cash in person or Cashiers Check within 7 days). I have free and clear Ohio title. Only selling because I bought a boat a couple of years back and my boating time and my riding time are mostly the same times, so right now I want to sell the bike and use the Bandit money on the boat. The Bandit is a great machine, with a classic powertrain that's worry free (no liquid cooling, etc) and ultra reliable. If you like smooth, seamless, jet thrust like, acceleration, above average handling in the twisties (it's not a pure sportbike, but it's still more handling than most will ever use up), and still enjoy all day comfort in the saddle without the "hunchback crouch" of pure sport or the cruiser "sofa slouch" then you're gonna love it! There are some great hardbag luggage options from GIVI and others if you want to trick it out on the touring side.
