Vehicle Detail
This is a 1985 Chevy Blazer Silverado with the economical 6.2 diesel. I have driven it and think it runs and drives good. The weak 700r4 transmission failed so it was sitting for about 10 years. My friend bought it and put in a rebuilt extra heavy duty TH400 from a military CUCV Blazer. He owed me money, so I wound up with the truck. I would LOVE to keep this because it would make a perfect hunting rig, but I already have too many vehicles! The good- The 6.2L Diesel gets around 20-25mpg. I don't know anything about diesels, but I do know that this runs good. It easily passed the smog test on 2/3/11. It has not failed to start and it has been below freezing here in Reno. The TH400 was installed about 15k miles ago, and built Extra Heavy Duty because my friend towed a tent trailer and boat, and he wanted the transmission to last. He used it as his daily driver until he lost his job. The 4x4 works great and this truck is a real climber. Comes with a CB radio and ant. Has a new CD player (cheap model). All lights and signals work. There is a tow hitch on the rear. Clear NV. title signed by my friend. Has one blue optima battery and one cheapo battery. The bad? Here is everything I am aware of; Rattle can white paint job, cracked windshield, interior needs steam-cleaned, seats need re-upholstered or new seat covers, back window crank needs fixed/ replaced, has a couple dents and minor rust spots. The 33x12.50 tires will need replaced pretty soon, and the F/R tire rubs the fender when you turn. The plastic grille needs replaced (40 on ebay right now) cracks in dash cover, and the dome light cover needs replaced. I know very little about vehicles and have described it to the best of my ability. I am only looking for what my friend owed me, so there is no reserve. I will also be listing this locally, so I reserve the right to end the auction if it sells locally. If you have any questions please call me at (seven, seven, five) 378-0579. If I can't answer the question I will ask my friend that used to own it. The winning bidder must pay $500 deposit via PayPal the same day the auction ends, and the balance within 5 days of the auction end.The buyer is responsible for having the truck picked up at my house in Sparks, NV. 89434 within 14 days of auction end. I will help load/ drive it on to the trailer etc). These time frames are non-negotiable so do not bid if you can not meet those time frames. I recommend that all bidders have someone come take a look at it, at their expense of course, so you know exactly what you are bidding on and not solely dependant on what I have noticed. The winner of the auction will be expected to purchase it, because flakes will receive negative feedback! Thanks and happy bidding! On Apr-12-11 at 09:28:38 PDT, seller added the following information: Please read the previous questions asked and answered. I keep getting asked if it runs and drives, and whether it can be driven to____(name city). YES, IT RUNS AND DRIVES GOOD! I just don't know much about diesels so if it were ME I would have a diesel mechanic look at it before I attempted a cross-country drive. Also I am not interested in trades! My friend owed me 2500, and I really need cash ONLY. Good luck and thanks all.
