1950 Chevrolet 3600 Pickup, serial # AHC0 234 767. This old truck was a recent trade-in. It displays a "3100" badge on its side, but the previous owner said it had a "3600" badge on it that fell off and was replaced during his ownership with the "3100" badge. There were two straight-six engine options in 1950, the standard 216 power plant and an optional 235 engine that was used in large trucks starting in 1941. We're not sure which engine this truck has but we think it's probably the 235. The truck has a 4-speed manual transmission with reverse and a low range gear. The exhaust system is aftermarket with the addition of exhaust stacks. The tires are 18" and are well worn. The truck body and sheet metal is straight and in good shape except the driver side fender which has minor damage. The grille is bent and will likely need to be replaced. The flatbed on the truck appears as if it could be original to the truck and may have once been operated as a dump bed (hard to tell for sure). The front and rear glass is problem-free, but he passenger louver window is cracked and the drivers window is broken out. The interior is worn with torn upholstery on the seat and cusion wear down to the springs on the drivers side. All that said, the truck seems to start, run and drive well. The previous owner was using it daily. We do have a clear Wyoming title that will be transferred to the new owner upon successful conclusion of the sale. We think this old truck is straight for its age and should make a good restoration candidate. We have NOT inspected this vehicle and it is being sold in AS IS condition with no warranties of any kind.
