Vehicle Detail
1986 GMC Caballero Conquista - NO RESERVE!!!! Clean, great-running Conquista. Drives smooth and powerful and looks beautiful in Candy Apple Red color. Features include: 305 V-8, aftermarket suspension and exhaust, power windows, power locks, tilt steering wheel, custom steering cover, aftermarket dash pad, rubber bed mat, Clarion am/fm cassette player (hope you kept your '80's music), original vertical tonneua that covers storage behind seat, factory air conditioning, and towing hitch. I believe in complete disclosure (see my 100% positive feedback rating), so here is everything I know negative about the car: the front tranny seal needs replacing (it's not too bad), power lock not working, cruise not working, although the stereo works the speakers don't sound so good (probably original), missing hood ornament, missing both center wheel hubs on the passenger side, the dash instruments are sporatic (I have been told this was a design flaw and can be fixed by pulling the instrument panel and cleaning the electric "cluster" contacts- please verify), dime-size rock chip in windshield near passenger side (just happened last week on highway- bummer), small rust spots at bottom of rear window (see pic) which appears to be allowing moisture inside, although doors are solid and close soundly they probably could use new door seals. Regarding the paint, the candy apple red color is HOT!!! She's been repainted, but I don't know when. There are small scratches here and there and one chip on hood (see pic), paint is peeling in a few places behind bumpers (my auto body pro says the correct hardner may not have been used on those plastic parts). Some red spray paint was used on inside bed walls (apparently in an effort to touch it up), but iflakes off with fingernail (and should be all scraped off). Overall it's better than a "20-Footer" (i.e. the paint looks new at 20 feet). Car looks awesome and drives sweet! Other than mentioned, there's no rust or body damage. Chrome is in great shape. THIS IS A VERY NICE CAR! Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
