Vehicle Detail
Wifey is having a baby, so I have to sell mine. :( Beautiful Honda CB550F has original paint and instrumentation. Great tires, recently replaced carbs and rewired. New equipment includes: battery, filters, plugs, chain and sprockets, gaskets and seals, starter, regulator, fuel line, floats, points, cables, and needles. I've done a ton of work on the bike in the last couple of years, and am bummed I have to sell it now. It's a real classic. The bike, being 34 years old, can start hard in the cold, but has a brand new battery and is charging fine. Original seat with slight tear that I've repaired. Pipes are rusty but fine. There is a ding on the front fender. Regular wear around gas tank. Truth is, I adore this bike. It is perfect for in-town -- it's quick, powerful, and gorgeous. Perfect for cruising, for newbs, or for experienced riders wanting to return to that original feeling of riding new bikes just can't give you. Heads will turn, people will want to talk to you about it. I've taken it on trips up to about 200 miles, and the upright sitting position is ideal -- no backaches. Great on the highway. You will fall in love, as I have. Would make an ideal classic cafe racer. I am the third owner of the bike -- I have all the records for it, including proof of all the work I've done on it. The title is clean, has my name on it, and it is ready and raring to go for the right pair of loving hands. Non-refundable Deposit of $200.00 is due via paypal within 48 hours of sale. Cashier's Check or Cash due within Seven days of auction end. If picking up, cash only. Once payment is received, buyer assumes responsibility for the bike -- including cost of crating and shipping if you don't want to pick it up yourself. I do not deliver, but am happy to help you make any arrangements necessary. I also have a new set of OED front signals, in unopened package, if you'd like them. And the original repair/service manual. Feel free to contact me with any questions you might have.
