1991 Mazda Miata MX-5. Fantastic, summer roadster, ready to drive. This car runs & looks great. OVERVIEW: 1991 Mazda Miata Roadster Convertible. White w/ Black interior. 110,000 Miles Young. Ready to Drive. FEATURES: Mostly original parts with a few modifications. Top was replaced in early 2001 and need to have the glass reattached (see Condition below). Original Mazda Radio - Built in speakers in the head rest (great when the top is down). Modifications: Custom Muffler (Professionally installed). Roadster sound (nice crisp sound) See video for more- Aftermarket Bead Bars. These are not performance roll-bars. The Chrome bars are for looks only. ConditionBody/Paint: No accidents. Normal wear/original paint job. Few scratches that would be expected with the original paint from a 20 year old roadster. A few tiny dents (nothing major - hard to notice unless very close.) No visible signs of Rust. Engine: Runs good. Occasionally the car will stall if AC is on while the vehicle is idle. This is a minor repair (fuel pump adjustment). This car was taken on a road trip last year from New Orleans to Kansas City without any difficulties. It has never over heated. Regular oil changes have been done. Transmission is great. If we kept this car any longer, we would have taken it in for a quick tune up to maximize performance and engine life. This engine has many more miles to ride. Flaws and Minor Repairs:--Some electrical work is needed: Power window on the driver side does not work (Switch or Cable?). Currently, the window is down, and there is no way to raise the window unless you know what your doing, or take this in for repairs (something to consider if your flying in to pick up) - Many local Mazda Repair shops within the Kansas City Area - Will assist with this arrangement if needed. - -This car is equipped with cruise control, however this has not been working properly. After speaking to a certified Mazda mechanic, this is common with these little cars, and never felt the need to have this repaired. --The seal near the small Triangle window needs to be replaced or repaired. This should be an easy fix, and can be repaired in minutes. -- The driver seat has a tear on the left bottom side. This does not decrease comfort level (you don't notice this while sitting). Seat covers or replacement would be take care of this. --Unknown Dash warnings - The airbag light blinks 8 times every few seconds. This is a maintenance code - simple fix. Also, the emergency hand-break light will appear for no reason. These minor things are normal for owning a 20 year old roadster. -- SOFT TOP -- This soft top was professional replaced in 2001. This is a leather top with GLASS attached (No zipper). This only problem with these sort of tops (glass seal does not hold on these little cars). The glass is detached from the seal and needs to be repaired. The top will go completely up - but the back glass will not be intact (Please be cautious of the longer drives- do not get caught in heavy rain unless this is fixed). Some top repair shops gave me a fair quote to replace the back glass piece - and was honestly looking for a hard top, so this was never replaced. The Leather boot looks great on the back to cover the top when down- and is currently Garage kept as a full time convertible. - Once again, the buyer must be aware if picking up and driving a far distance - I can assist with setting up professional repair at the buyers request and cost. How TO Buy after Auction The winning bidder will be required to pay a $500 deposit within 24 hours of the auction and must communicate with us promptly (as we will do the same). Cash in person or cashier's check/money order for the remaining balance (including shipping if applicable) is due within 7 days after the auction ends. Car does not leave our garage until full payment is cleared. If buyers have the option, Full payment using paypal is also accepted. DO NOT place a bid for an amount you are not willing to pay. Bidders who do not agree to these terms will be reported to ebay - let's have a good auction, and keep this simple :) Shipping & Refunds There are three options for the buyer to receive their roadster. Please contact us within 24 hours of winning to confirm your shipping preference. We will work with you to make this an enjoyable buying experience. 1- We can provide professional shipping for this car to be delivered to your door ($600 shipping).2- Buyer can arrange their own shipping provider (must be shipped within 7 days after auction ends). 3- Pick-up. Kansas City is a great place with many hotels. Let us know if you need some assistance with the area. NO REFUNDS- This car is sold as is with a clear title. Car was inspected in 2010 for Missouri Laws. Buyer is fully responsible to insure and register this vehicle properly. We will assist with registration (using local dealerships or buyers choice). We are not responsible for this car once it's driven away. We are reasonable people, and will refund your money if something terribly is wrong with performance during your first drive (doesn't run, wheels fall off, unusual smoke appears from the hood). We are not responsible if this car needs a jump start, or if you decide you don't like the wind in your hair.
