Vehicle Detail

1987 Porsche 944. I purchased and imported this car around 3 years ago from Utah. It was last registered here in Alberta in 2008. While driving it one day, the oil pressure gauge dropped when I began to decelerate. I shut the engine down right away in an effort to prevent any damages. I heard no knocks or rattles from the engine. By all indications, I believe the oil pressure relief valve had stuck open. When I bought the car I had intended to fix it up but, unfortunately, with the oil pressure acting up and my current situation, I have to let it go. The odometer is showing 157,690 miles but to tell the truth, I have no idea what the true mileage is due to the fact that the odometer is non-functioning. There are a few things I had begun to purchase for the car before it decided to act up(console armrest pocket, leather shifter knob/boot). I also have a pair of new hood shocks, an indoor car cover and a new odometer gear for it. Before the oil pressure went screwy, the clutch worked well with no chattering or signs of slippage. The previous owner had told me the timing belt had been changed but I have no supporting documentation to support this claim. On the drivers side of the car around the drivers mirror, near the door handle and above the left rear wheel the paint has begun to show signs of cracking. Otherwise the paint looks good with a nice gloss to it. Due to sitting, the battery is no longer any good, the brake pedal has gotten spongy and I have removed the radio since the one in my other car gave out. The windshield has an approximately 16 inch vertical crack on the drivers side from the bottom going up running parallel with the windshield pillar. This car could be repaired, turned into a track car or if you're feeling adventurous, you could contact Renegade Hybrids and put a Chev LS2 in it. Your imagination and bank account are the only limitations to what you can do with this car. Count on trailering or otherwise towing this car if you are the successful bidder. If you have any questions at all, e-mail me. Better to ask questions than to assume.
