1978 BMW 320i in good original condition. Never rusted, never hit, all original paint and interior. I am selling this for my elderly neighbor because she got a newer car. She has had the car for close to 20 years, it had about 50k miles on it when she bought it from the original owner. It now has a little over 150,000. She took very good care of the car and had it serviced regularly at a local BMW shop. It had a full tune up last year and runs great. Engine runs strong, I drove it for about an hour last week and it ran cool with no problems. The four speed transmission shifts smoothly and the clutch is feels nice. Steering is tight and it takes corners well, suspension is in great shape and does fine at low and high speeds. I see no leaks from the engine or transmission. Brakes work well and stop straight, aliment is good and the cars drives with no pulling left or right. Tires are a few years old but have excellent tread and no uneven wear. The engine starts right up and the battery, starter, and alternator are in good shape. One keys fits the ignition, door locks(passenger side doesn't always work), and trunk lock. All lights work even the interior dome light that comes on when you open either door. Electrical and wiring all works except for the switch for the heater fan which has a broken knob. The speedometer and all gauges, horn, turn signals, emergency flasher, rear defroster, windshield wipers and stereo all work, A/C works okay but might need a recharge. Interior is in good condition and the front seats have no tears just some wear on the left edges of the drivers seat. I didn't try to clean it but it should clean up some. All of the controls to adjust the front seats are working. Seat belts are all working. The rear seat has a small tear on the bottom. Headliner is in good shape except for a tear near the back window. Front seats have older sheep skin covers and the carpet has mats. I removed both the covers and mats for the pictures and then put them back on. All the glass is in good shape and the door windows go up and down like they should, rear pop out windows have good working latches. Door handles work and both doors lock. Hood and trunk lid also lock up and have working latches. Clean California title with current non-op status as of march 30th. Cheap to register and insure. It is ready to drive anywhere and comes with original tools and jack. Has spare tire in good condition. Sunroof is not working but is fully closed and does not leak. This is a no reserve auction so please only bid if you are ready to buy it. Double check your bid amount so they won't be any problems once the auction ends. Car must be picked up within two weeks after the auction ends unless other arrangements are made. Free delivery to any auto shipper or transport company in the Oakland area.
