Vehicle Detail
If you are looking at this D90 then you know what to expect. This is the cleanest unit I have ever seen. Even trucks with half the miles don't measure up. I am crazy particular about my vehicles and this defender has had the treatment. Tasteful upgrades include an entire new engine. One of the head gaskets started to leak (which happens to them all) so I decided to have one of the top Rover mechanics redo the entire top and bottom end. He also replaced the clutch, all of the cooling system (radiator, fan, fan clutch, hoses, thermostat, ect). Also the entire suspension has been upgraded to a full Old Man Imu kit. This also included the steering damper. ($1200 upgrade not including labor). Also added were the stock rock sliders that rover made for defenders in the UK only. I also have the side steps that I have never installed. The interior is absolutely perfect. I have had rover waterproof seat covers on the seats. The original seats are perfect. There is also an amazing sound system installed that is completely hidden and sounds amazing. ($5200) The exterior paint has been completely refreshed and looks absolutely new. My rover mechanic has a master painter who has is an artist freshening up faded paint and the small spots that were very small dents from a branch that was sticking out further than I expected. That is the only damage this machine has ever seen. You would never be able to tell where anything was touched up. Towing package with the tube rear bumper. Brand new B.F. Goodrich mud terrain tires with less than 5k miles as well. The list goes on and on to what I have put into the truck. Im out of pocket over $40k. I hate to sell it but baby #5 is here and I cant fit the entire clan into the rear jump seats anymore. Just so you know, the wagon version of the D90 is the only one to own. Zero leaks, quiet, fold down jump seats and a ton of cargo room that locks up. What a ride!!!!! This exact truck has sold 3 times in the last month on ebay and autotrader for close to $30k without the extras. Im also listing on autotrader if you want to go that rout. Thanks for looking!!! New info!! Due to the overwhelming response of this d90 I have decided to add some additional pics. They don't even come close to doing justice to this 16 year old vehicle. The accident report is referring to a very light drivers side damage due to me sliding off a muddy road and into a tree branch. Because the panels are aluminum they dent easy and the paint was rubbed off. I replaced the door panel, and because the paint was 16 years old it would have been very difficult to match. So I had a master painter do the work. He blended the new paint into the old, buffed and touched up the entire truck with OEM rover paint. It was quite costly and that is why it shows up in the report. There has never been any structure damage, no engine damage, or anything that effected the performance of the truck. It was merely cosmetic and I could have just did it quick and easy but like I said I am quite particular about what I drive. There are no rust spots other than the quite small door hinge bolts that redden up a bit. The front grill guard had a little pitting so I took it off and had it stripped completely and powder coated. You will not be disappointed! Thanks and good luck.
