1964 Buick Riviera Buick's Riviera was in its 2nd year in '64. The Riviera combined luxury and performance. This example features the "Super Wildcat" 425 c.i. engine rated at 360 horsepower. This car was repainted its original color and shows well. There are minor imperfections on close inspection on this otherwise solid southern example. Open the door to 1964. The Buick Riviera showcased a luxurious interior. This example features its original interior in good condition. Although originally a 4bbl. equipped example, this Riviera now sports a Super Wildcat 425. This is a true Super Wildcat " X K " V8 complete with dual 4bbl, carburetors, chrome twin snorkle breather, and finned aluminum valve covers. The 1964 Buicks utilized this bright aqua finish on the blocks. This engine compartment shows well. You can see the engine codes in the photos above if you look closely. The V.I.N and trim identification plates are intact on this survivor example. This is a turn-key cruiser. The original dash is clean and detailed. The courtesy lighting is working. The brown vinyl seating is in good condition front to back. The trunk is solid. Further inspection of the engine compartment will reveal a solid original firewall, inner fenders, and core support. The undercarriage is undetailed and original as well. A look down either side reveals all original brightwork and straight original body panels. The center console displayed form and function with the Buick Riviera. It housed the air conditioning controls, radio, and shifter. This stance is thanks to the factory 15-inch wheels wrapped in wide whitewall tires. Further inspection of the original interior confirms it to be in exceptional condition throughout.
