This beauty finished in Vibrant Red Clearcoat has only 9,887 original miles! It comes with a guaranteed clean Carfax Report and PA Title History. If purchased by a PA Resident, it will also come with a fresh PA State Inspection. Ford's 5.0L engine used in the GT Mustang had many modifications done to it before being fit into the Cobras. Among these changes were higher-performance GT-40 cylinder heads, larger valves, and a stouter camshaft. This highly modified 5.0L V-8 was rated at 235 horsepower and 280ft/lbs. torque. The same Borg-Warner T-5 transmission found on the GT was used for the Cobras, except it came with phosphate-coated gears as well as stronger bearings. Also on the Cobra were rear vented disc brakes instead of the standard drum brakes. It is rated 0-60 MPH in 5.4 seconds and has a 14.5 second ¼ mile time and still has an estimated 17 city / 24 hwy MPG rating! By comparison, the GT has a 0-to-60 mph time of 7.9 seconds and a quarter-mile time of 15.9 seconds. This particular Cobra has been tastefully upgraded with a few parts over the years, one of which is a factory Ford Racing King Cobra Clutch Kit, as well as a more free flowing exhaust. It doesn’t look like the original exhaust is going to be available. The aftermarket exhaust actually starts just behind the factory headers, and includes a set of $1200 BBK hi flow catalytic converters as well as the cat back system from dynamaxx? The shiny Vibrant Red Clearcoat exterior has been very well maintained and cared for by its previous owners. It is free from any major dents, dings, scratches or scrapes and shows only the normal wear that you should expect from a ’93 with 9,887 original miles. The alloy wheels are fitted with a great set of Goodyear Eagle ZR45 tires size 245/45/ZR17 with 75%+ tread life remaining. This gray leather / Vibrant Red Clearcoat combo is 1 of 185 produced in 1993. The gray leather interior is just as you would expect…like new! The seats are free from rips or tears, the carpet is not stained and the dash is not cracked or broken.
