You are viewing a 2008 Honda CBR 1000RR which is selling with NO RESERVE! The bike runs and rides excellent. It has a TON of power. Starts right up and runs very smooth. The transmission shifts smoothly through all gears. It would be a very easy project. Could be a great street bike with very little investment and effort. Would also make an excellent track bike. The bike has a rebuildable Indiana Salvage Title. If you're unfamiliar with this, it means that someone can make the necessary repairs, (install plastic, mirrors and lighting) have the bike inspected and be issued a "Rebuilt Title". The bike can then be registered, insured and ridden on the street like any other bike. It's a very simple process. As you can see from the pictures the bike simply needs cosmetics. The few body pieces that are on the bike are only there because they were given to me. They are useable pieces but If I were going to build this bike for the street, I would replace them. I took some pictures before installing the tail and tank cover so that you could see there isn't any damage under them. I took a lot of close up pictures to illustrate the bike's condition. Other than needing the obvious missing pieces, the swingarm spool mount has been broken off. (see pictures) Outside of that there isn't anything on the bike in need of replacing. There is not any damage to the frame, forks, wheels, clip ons, pegs, controls, radiator etc. The bike is really very clean and in good condition. Anyone interested is more than welcome to come see the bike in person. It will be made available for personal inspection during the duration of the auction. If you are uncomfortable placing a deposit before seeing the motorcycle, then please come view it PRIOR to enterring a bid. The balance must be paid within 7 days. I can store the bike for a reasonable amount of time but it must be paid for in full within one week. Balance can be paid with cash or check. I will also consider paypal for full payment but if you plan to pay with paypal you need to contact me before enterring a bid. If you plan to pay the balance at time of pickup, ONLY CASH will be accepted. Any other form of payment must completely clear my bank account before I will release the motorcycle, no exceptions. I will help out with shipping in any way that I can but all arrangements and expenses associated with shipping or delivery are the responsibility of the seller.
