1952 GMC 1/2 TON FIVE WINDOW Howdy from Texas. I hunt vintage cars in trucks down here and over all the years I’ve been doing this I haven’t ran across a finer old truck than this jewel. This is an unrestored 1952 GMC half ton five window truck. It’s a super fine original truck. First the body on the truck is amazing. I have not discovered a single dent or any signs of filler except a small area of filler on the hood. The doors shut tight and the windows roll up and down. All the critical glass is good. Both side glass windows have cracks, but this is an easy fix because it’s just flat safety glass. The truck is very solid with very little signs of any rust. Floors are solid. I’d be happy to send pictures of under the truck. Just make a request. The truck has a 235 straight six engine and it fires up quick and runs smooth and strong, with no knocks or smoke puffing. The truck had been in storage for years and the fuel tank has some junk that keeps clogging the filter. I’m running the truck on a small tank at the moment. I found a brand new tank here on eBay for $170. The transmission and the clutch are working good and the brakes stop the truck pretty well. I have installed a new battery in the truck, new plugs, rotor and cap. I’ve also changed the oil. The tires all hold air but are old and have flat spots from sitting. They should be replaced. The dash is all original and uncut. The gauges appear very nice, some work, some don’t. The truck seat looks good and is comfortable. Even the cab light above works still. The wood bed is in fair condition and is usable. The tailgate is very nice. The radiator is not original. All in all this is a super fine classic GMC truck. It’s NOT a restored show truck, but I like it that way. The truck is an original green truck but the original color was lighter than what’s on it. The only thing I know is missing is the radio, glove box lock and insert and cardboard headliner. If you have questions please call before bidding on this truck.
