Vehicle Detail
This bike is as near perfect for a 2005 model as you can get. Not a ding or stone chip anywhere - if I washed it and told you it was new you would not argue. The color is described by BMW as yellow but I can assure you that it is a beautiful deep gold which I understand BMW only offered during the 2005 model year. At 11,800 the mileage is extremely low for a bike that is capable of 100,000 miles plus. The previous owner had it from new and informed me that it was used for week-end summer excursions only. It was originally in Arizona and has never seen rain. The bike is loaded with extras including, pneumatic center stand (awsome - just sit there and let the bike do the work), power windshield, heated grips and seats and backrest, single CD and 6 CD changer, AM/FM radio, cruise control (my favorite feature), remote alarm and immobilizer that also centrally locks the top-trunk and side panniers and glove compartment, highway pegs, rear running boards (I also have the front running boards that are not shown in the pictures), trip computer (fuel consumption, distance to empty, outside temp etc.), dual trip metres, ABS, servo assisted brakes, adjustable headlight, courtesy lights (dash, ground illumination and top trunk). I have only owned the bike for 2 months. It was an impulse purchase offered in part exchange for a car I was selling. I was thinking about moving from sports bikes to something that I could tour on so bought this bike. I rode it from Arizona back to Houston and had a blast - cruise control set at 80mph while I sat in still air behind the screen and jammed to the CD player - I didn't even close my visor. Once on the go the weight disappears and the bike handles like it is on rails and for a big girl she can boogey. Interested parties will ask what is wrong with the bike that I am selling her so quickly. There is nothing wrong at all - simply that as a life long sports bike guy and ex-racer it is too much of a leap from one extreme to the other! Since getting her back from Arizona I have ridden her to the inspection station and back and that's it. I realized that I needed a sports tourer with emphasis on the sports so I have bought a new Triumph Sprint GT and need the garage space. The only known fault is that one of the rear speakers doesn't work - I am not sure if it is blown or if the contacts need cleaning - other than that to the best of my knowledge she is perfect. Read my profile and bid with confidence.
