Vehicle Detail
For sale, 1967 21 Window (Clear Oregon Title) Volkswagen Deluxe Microbus. Up for auction is the TOP OF THE LINE bus offered by Volkswagen! After 1963, it doesn't get any better than the 21 Window Bus... and 1967 is the LAST year of the split screen windshield. THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING COOLER, ON GOD'S GREEN EARTH, THAN A BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED SKYLIGHT WINDOW, SLIDING RAGTOP, SPLITTIE ROLLING DOWN THE STREET!!! Bus is VERY straight and RUST FREE! '67 top (welded/cloned to '65 body) IS COMPLETE and includes all sunroof hardware. Donor body came from '65 dry-side of Oregon. Any rust you see is surface rust, only. Outriggers, quarters, and floors are all incredibly solid! Bus has both year correct middle and rear seats with both kick panels. Have you seen what just the "year correct" seats and kick panels go for? EVERYTHING is there to bring this baby back to glory... All glass (including skylight windows), new stainless pop-out frames, all deluxe trim (including clean rocker trim), both deluxe bumpers, and clock (still in '67 dash). Has all window jail bar pieces. Year of issue "1967" plate. I have vin plates from both buses. LOTS of parts... THIS IS A COMPLETE BUS (all parts there). Even includes a type 4 magnesium block and original '67 lower corners with back-up lights (ONLY had on '67). Comes with all good extra parts from both '67 and '65 buses. Has unused '67 only dual master cylinder, and needs new brake lines. I chose the full front seat of the '65 because I planned to restore and roll with my girl by my side... much comfier that way! **If you're an EXTREME PURIST and need everything to be "year correct" and "how dare you mix two year buses together?", this bus is not for you. If you are looking for a GREAT, straight bus to restore then ask me whatever questions come to mind...** Thanks for looking. These beauties are getting extremely hard to find in unrestored condition. If you find one that's already restored, they fetch a pretty penny! I CAN THINK OF NO BETTER WAY TO INVEST YOUR TAX RETURN MONEY!!! *grin*It's very important for me to stress this: Although I will go out of my way to ensure this transaction flows smoothly and shipping is coordinated as much as I can; I must stress you contact and work with a reputable auto transport company of your choosing. I do not know of anyone in the local area (although I tried to contact a local broker, he will not be able to transport this bus) that transports overseas. In researching, there are numerous companies on the internet who seem like decent choices. I know of many folks that will ship nationwide and shipping overseas requires a little more research. I was just given information about a local company that does ship in the western half of the US, and another that ships worldwide. So, I can pass that info on at the conclusion of auction. Bus needs TLC and restoration to return to the days of glory... PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE... do not put an offer only MINUTES before the auction end date and time! Unlike a LOT of folks (especially those who make offers twelve seconds before auctions end) I will not be sitting at my computer to return a counter offer, or accept your offer. Make your offer and I check it daily. I will respond to you. He recommended several websites and I must concur; there is a lot of good information and reputable companies out there. I will gladly hold the bus for you (for any reasonable amount of time) until all transportation is coordinated to your liking. I only require a deposit within 24 hours and full payment within 7 days of auction close. The bus is in a safe and secure location... Jon** Dear jonrucker, hi,i was thinking of what i could ask that is not in the pictures, does the motor run and can you see anything mechanical that needs money,do you know anything about the transmission.i have a good shipping co.that is easy. - dbaigent1967 Good afternoon and thank you for the note. The motor ran the last time started and tranny rolled (has reduction gears). I was going to restore both, eventually. Comes with '67 Only Master Cylinder, but needs brake lines. - jonrucker
