Vehicle Detail

Relisting because the buyer couldnt get the loan.. Please be sure you have the funds available.... Spring is finally here and I keep having second thoughts about selling my 68 Vette but my son starts driving this summer and we have another project to work on so I need to make more room in the garage.. I have at least $20k into this car in just the past 2 years.. Don't buy a classic Corvette that you have to soak a ton of money into, buy one from someone who already did that.. My loss is your gain and I don't see how you can go wrong here.. 68 Corvette Coupe- T-Tops (first year of this body style) Car has a brand new drivetrain in it, including a brand new 400+ hp motor.. Everything from the radiator all the way back to the tires is all brand new and it ALL has less than 100 miles on it (can any other corvette owner say that?).. The motor was professionally built and I have the dyno sheets that show a peak of 462hp on pump gas and it sounds wicked!! Last fall, just before I put it away for the winter, our local police department held some 1/8 mile drags at the local airport and I ran a 7.40 with a mild 100hp shot of nitrous (that's equivalent to a 11.40 in the 1/4), not bad for a very streetable car and it handled like a dream too.. The car drives straight as an arrow.. After the race we loaded it on the trailer, put it in winter storage and its been there since.. Since the nitrous is still hooked up, I'm willing to throw that in as well.. Its a band new 100hp NOS kit and the bottle only has two 1/8 miles runs on it. This sale also includes the original "NUMBERS MATCHING" 327 motor, heads and intake (Heads and intake are off the short block).. The original block has never been bored so I believe the odometer could be correct (86,920 ) but the title was signed off to me as not being the original miles... The original motor did run before I pulled it but it just wasn't enough power for me... The interior is in pretty good shape with no major flaws in the leather seats and the dash has no cracks.. The doors have absolutely no sag and close nicely.. The rear window is also removable and the T-Tops clamp nicely.. The passenger seat is currently out of the car because that's where I have the NOS bottle located.. It only takes a few minutes to re-install it (4 bolts).. A List of some of the New parts I installed 1. New 355 small block Chevy with large thumper cam, noisy gear drive, Edlebrock aluminum heads, Edlebrock aluminum intake, aluminum high volume water pump, New Mighty Demon 750dp carb (the crate engine pictured had a Summit carb on it but I installed the new Demon, which runs better), Mallory HEI distributor and Mallory Multi spark ignition.. Timing is lockin-in at 36 degrees with an ignition cut-off switch for starting.. New alternator and all new belts.. 2. New Dewitts aluminum radiator with electric fan 3. New Ceramic coated hedman headers 4. New 2.5 dual exhaust with new Flowmaster super 44 mufflers 5. All New tires and wheels, including chrome 16x8 ralley's in the rear with M/T Street slicks (tires only have two 1/8 mile runs on them) and 15x4.5 in the front with new radial tires 6. 4 new center caps and I also have 4 new baby moon caps too (which ever look you prefer) 7. New fiberglass mono leaf and adjustable track bars installed (I still have the original trackbars) 8. New 4.11 posi (I still have the original 3.08) 9. New heavy duty balanced 3" halfshafts with all new spicer u-joints throughout (I have the original halfshafts too) 10. New digital cluster gauges (the trans temp isn't hooked up yet and the gas gauge works but one of the LED's already went bad (I also have the original gauges too). 11. Newer carpet 12. New Comp eng 90/10 shocks in the front, all new bushings through-out the rear end, and the list goes on and on.. I have 2 hoods for it.. One is a stock hood with a new Harwood pro stock scoop attached (currently mounted on car) and the other is a 4" lift-off fiberglass Cowl with D-nuz fasteners.. I also have a box full of parts that came with the car, which includes some of the original chrome heat shields.. Things that don't work (I haven't even looked into these yet) 1. Wipers and wiper door 2. Headlights don't raise but you can manually raise them and all lights do work 3. Heater blower motor doesn't work Nothing serious that will keep this car off the road.. The car is driveable so you could drive or even race on weekends and tinker with the few things mentioned during the week.. I don't think you will be able find a newer drivetrain like this on any older Vette priced under $30k.. And God forbid you ever have to replace the trailing arm bushings, which I have already done on this Vette.. Also, if you decided you would never go back to stock again, you could easily sell the extra original parts and recoup allot of your money here.. Some 68 parts are extremely rare and bring in top dollar.. Like I said, I don't know how you can go wrong here.. Note: I also have a newer tandem axle car hauler with brakes (pictured) that I will sell with it for an extra $1000 if your interested but it does need ramps and a spare tire.. I had the car hauler built last summer with low fenders so you can open the doors on the Vette while its on the trailer.. Here is a video of my 1/8 mile run against a stock 84 trans am with 305 v8.. As you can see it runs Extremely good.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtuAkg1MgAE Bidders need to have at least 10 feedbacks and if any of them show non payment, I will retract your bid.. Winner must pay $500 non-refundable "Paypal" down payment with-in 24 hours of auctions end and the remaining balance must be in "cash" when you pick it up (highly recommend a car hauler and truck for all the extra parts, including the original numbers matching motor).. The car must be picked-up with-in 14 days, otherwise it will be re-listed and you will lose your down payment.. Sorry, I will not arrange any shipping or delivery and I'm not interested in any trades.. Serious inquiries only.. I am located in Northern Michigan about 4 hours north of the Ohio line.. PLEASE ASK QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU BID, NOT AFTER.. Bids are a binding contract..
