Purchased new at Buddy Allen Chevrolet in Terrell, Texas, this '65 C-10 has been in the Lone Star state its entire life. This truck has been the daily drive of a local East Texas man for a number of years. Current Texas inspection. VIDEO BELOW / PRESS PLAY VIDEO ABOVE / PRESS PLAY Shes been a good 'ole truck. It sits on its original 115-inch short wheel base. Under the hood is this '65 coded 327 V8. Originally a 275HP 4bbl (engine suffix HC), it is now fitted with an economical 2bbl. and mated with the stock 3-speed standard, converted to a Hurst Floor shift. The engine runs out strong and the transmission shifts as it should. It sounds excellent. Be sure you play our short running & driving video we made of this truck. The exhaust system features factory GM manifolds breathing through true duals with glasspack mufflers to chromed tips exiting out the back. The firewall, inner fenders, and core support are original and solid. The exterior has been painted in Hugger Orange and white. This was originally a light blue truck. The sheetmetal is in excellent condiiton. This truck has its original quarters, fenders, flooring, bed, doors, hood, and tailgate. The cab and drip rails are excellent. This is a Texas truck that is exceptionally solid body wise. The paint is fair and presentable. Its a 20-footer with paint flaws on close inspection. The wood bed is in great shape, with painted strips. The inside of the bed is again, exceptionally solid and straight all over. The original tail gate is also in very good condition. The interior features comfortable tan cloth seating along with a center console. The original gauge cluster is in place, an aftermarket water temperature gauge is mounted underneath the dash. The truck has a working horn (button on the dash) signals, wipers and lights. The CD stereo has been amatuerly mounted in the dash and doesn't work. Not a perfect truck, its one with a lot of character and a pleasure to drive. Bare bones with a 327 and a floor shift will take us all back in time. The undercarriage showcases the stout GM 12-bolt rear end along with the original underbody and frame in excellent condition. This is a dry, southern truck and it shows. The original V.I.N plate is in place as is the trim option plate. This stance is thanks to classic aluminum slot 15-inch wheels wrapped in Goodyear Wrangler AP tires.
