Vehicle Detail

1975 Honda XR-75. Vintage survivor that did not get ridden much. The bike starts first kick and idles, shifts and runs perfectly. Valve clearance, cam chain, points/timing has been set to specs & oil has been changed & air filter cleaned. The front tire is near new showing minimal wear and the back tire is worn approximatley 25% (+/-). I have not restored this bike and besides a seat cover, clutch lever, grips and really cool 'slip-on' muffler, the bike is just as I found it. The muffler sounds very nice (not loud) without the muffler packing, but you can wrap the removable baffle for a very quiet sound output. It does use the stock bolt on rear muffler bracket for installation. Original kill switch is in excellent shape and original spark plug wrench and bar handle are still there. The kill switch red knob has a hairline crack at the protruding tab-to-button area that you push to select one of the Off-Run-Off positions. Rim chrome shows very good with the front rim showing a few light rust areas. The rear rim & spokes were coated liberally with chain lube and appear that they will clean up very nicely. It has hose clamps on the fuel line, but you could easily go back to the factory style hose clips. There is a 1" inch line dent just above the right tank decal. Also some paint missing around the fuel cap which is not seen unless the cap is removed. A few small nics and chips on the tank also. No stripped or broken peg bar mounting holes. The left side number plate 'XR75' decal is missing a few small pieces, but are still available at low prices. There is also a 1" inch round dent (1/16" deep) in the header pipe about half-way down from the head. I believe it has the original chain and sprockets. It still has the white paint (proof of master link clip installation for factory inspectors) on the master link. The sprockets show some wear. Overall, the bike just needs a good detailing to add value. I did not get an owners manual with it. No title; Bill of Sale provided. The bike is sold AS-IS. Please review my feedback to see that I am an honest seller. This is a really nice unrestored example. The 'economy' sure has values suppressed, but hoping for at least $1000.
