1966 BMW R69/S Ser # 660943 Mileage: 27,419 This is an unrestored, low-mileage original in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. I have owned and meticulously cared for this bike for 13 years. The previous owner had it on display for 20 years, where I found it at San Diego’s Balboa Park Automotive Museum. Before starting it up for the first time, I sent it to Bench Mark Works to have the engine gone through and oil slingers cleaned. The bike is in pristine running order: new tires & sealed battery (in 2009), new swing arm bearings front & rear. New reproduction horn… (original included with sale) along with tools, manuals, spare parts and a Denfeld passenger seat. Two deviations from “bone-stock original…” A friction type steering damper replaced the original hydraulic unit because the hydraulic units are no longer available. The original comes with the sale. Likewise with the original Everbest Petcock which was upgraded to a later version without cork internals. Carbs are adjusted for the 4,000 ft. elevation where I live and may need to be dialed in to your location. Other than that… its ready to go. I’m sure to regret selling it.
