Vehicle Detail

This is a complete down-to-the-frame restoration. The frame was sand blasted and is coated with PRO-15. The spring bushings and sping pins are new. The front axle is totally rebuilt inlcuding: Brake shoes and slave cylinders, axle bearings, king pins, and seals. The brake master cylinder is a new duel-chamber master with booster, and the brake lines and diverter block are new. The original four speed straight-cut-gear transmission is rebiult including three new gears and all new bearings and seals. The transmission has a PTO. The engine is a totaly rebuilt 1993, 5.7 Chevy with a truck cam and throutle body. The battery is new, with a rebuild alternator and starter motor. The the interior is new encluding: new rubber molding for the windows and doors, window rails and dusters, new glass, new glove box, refaced original gauges ($850.00); and the color of the interior is the orignal color. The exterior silver paint has gold and blue pearling. The radiator is new with a heater. The fuel tank is in the frame not in the cab, but you fill the gas tank through the oringal spout mounted in the cab. The 20" tires are new; which were an option on the F4 in 1948.. The bed has a rust sealant then painted black. The truck has a trailer hitch reciever. In the cab there is a after-market 3000btu heater. The F4 has duel electric wipers, and a original lit siglnal arm. This is a truck that you can use, run down the road or show in the cruses and car shows. Under the seat cover is the original seat. Riding in this F4 is same as bouncing along in 1948. The transmission wines making the same sounds as it did in 1948, you can hear it as it goes by or when you ride in the F4. This F4 has the stock over-load rear springs, the same as the F5 and F6. The history of the truck is that in 1948 it was sold to a Japanese fruit farmer in Californa. He stored the F4 in a shed accept when it was used to haul fruit to the market. Then the F4 was then sold and used to hual sand for mortar. The original exterior color was a deep maroon. The bed may be original but with a wood floor. Some of the pictures do not show the wood sides or the inproved mud faps that are now on the F4. There is no labor cost or mark-up in the price of this F4. The starting bid price is only the cost of the parts that were put into this F4. Including the labor makes the value at $32,000. I am selling the F4 to move on to the next project. Plese email me with your questions and inquiries.
