Vehicle Detail
For sale is a 1957 Olds Ninety-Eight 4 door sedan. Rare, hard to find car, the car is rusty but it could be restored or there are many nice parts on it. Have a clear Wisconsin title for it. Has a factory autronic eye , ( electric eye ) , This option automatically dims the lights when cars are approaching. Very rare option!! The original seat covers are still on the seats. Car was kept in a shed for many, many years, local car , was owned by an older lady. Car was sold new at Ray Olson's dealership in Eau Claire, WI. Very rare, hard to find car. There are less and less of these old cars every day. Once they're gone, they're gone! Most of the chrome, that is there, is in very nice condition. I have the chrome that's missing, but it is bent some. The windshield is cracked but the rest of the windows are good. The window in the drivers side door won't roll up. Engine is stuck. Has a V-8 and an automatic transmission. I have the original 14" rims that go with it, too. I will be posting additional picture soon. Thanks for looking and don't forget to check out our other items. On Feb-15-11 at 17:03:53 PST, seller added the following information: The car has a 371 Nailhead engine with a 4 barrel. This a J2 motor. The floors from underneath look solid, but I haven't taken the carpets out so I don't if there is surface rust under there. There is a rust hole in the frame on the driver's side, behind the wheel well. I put a battery in it and the headlight and taillights still work, but the headlights don't dim. The radio hums, but the antennae is gone. This is a one owner vehicle. The lady drove it, and parked it in a shed in the early 70's. It sat there until I got it a couple years ago. I have too many projects, so this one has to go.
