Vehicle Detail

PLEASE READ TITLE ISSUE: I do have the title, however it is not in my name. I purchased the car about ten years ago from a dealer. He gave me all the paperwork at that time, however I understand now that what he gave me was a transfer that is normally done between dealers. The person I bought the car from had purchased it from another dealer, using a dealer transfer from also, and that dealer had bought it from a YMCA. No one had ever recorded the title except for the YMCA, and I held the car for several years before trying to record it. I am not a dealer, and all of the dealer’s involved are no longer in business. The DMV told me to get the YMCA to apply for a lost title and to sign it over directly to me. I have tried for over two years to get that done, but to no avail. Therefore I am selling the car as is, with no title. (The buyer will receive all paperwork I have) CAR INFO: 1957 Ford Skyliner, auto trans, V-8, the car was running when I put it in my garage 10 years ago, I removed the coil to use on another car, one of the power steering lines is broken, and it needs brakes, I haven’t tried to start it since I put it in storage,, the top will function but I have to put a jumper between the solenoids to get it to go up/down, The body appears to be in good shape, I did find what looks like a repair around the headlights, the paint is in fair shape, all the trim is on the car, one piece of trim on the left rear fender is broken, there is a crack in the right side of the windshield that someone tried to repair, the passenger door glass is broken. The interior of the car is all there. I remove the door panels and back seat to get to the wiring for the top, to try to find why the top wouldn’t go up and down from the switch. The tires are cracked and dry rotted, but all but one holds air. I believe it is the original wheels and hub caps. As for the chrome all I have seen is a little surface rust, and a paint chip on the front quarter fender. I haven’t found any rot or rust out in the car; again it has been in storage since 1999. I have tried to show as much as possible in the photos to give you a view of the cars condition. My garage is small and full, therefore it’s hard to get a full view of the car in one photo. The first picture was taken the day I put it in the garage. The photo showing the items behind the front seat is where I have put the rear seat and the door panels are laying on top of it. The car is mainly dirty and dusty from being in the back of my garage all these years. I haven’t seen a tear in any of the seats they are just white and dirty. The car is being Sold AS IS. Please ask all the questions you may have and I will do my best to answer them. I expect $1000.00 non refundable deposit within 24 hours of the auction closing. The balance must be paid within seven days of the auction closing. You have 14 days from the day of the auction ending to pick up the car. On 15th day a $25.00 a day storage fee will be charged unless prior arrangements are made. Buyer must pay for and make all arrangements for pick-up or shipping. On Mar-08-11 at 05:57:55 PST, seller added the following information: UPDATE: I added some pics of the trunk area and the floor pan, floors have serface rust except for on area in rear passanger floor shown in pic. On Mar-08-11 at 07:40:56 PST, seller added the following information: I added a few more photo's, and someone ask about options it has heater, power windows, wonder bar type radio, padded dash, power steering, and brakes.
