Vehicle Detail

If you've been following the Blazer's available on eBay, you may remember that this one was sold only a short while ago. I'm the buyer and the circumstances that I bought it for have changed and now I'm putting it back on auction. I won't bore you with the ugly details of my personal situation, I'll just update the original description of the few changes I've made to make this Blazer even better than when originally purchased. [I'll note the changes and/or upgrades at the end of each paragraph below with brackets.] Do you like driving a vehicle that everybody is constantly complimenting? Are you looking for something unique and nobody else will ever have? Then this Blazer is what you need. Everything done to this truck was done professionally with no expense spared. I am the vehicle’s second owner. Yes that last sentence was correct I am the second owner. I bought this from the original owner about 3 years ago and immediately started the transformation into what you see here. When I bought the truck it had 110,000 original miles on it. Since the new motor and transmission was installed 4 months ago I have only put 1500 miles on it. Since I have owned the truck it has never been taken off road. Here is a breakdown of the truck. If you have any questions please feel free to email me. Please don’t email me with questions on how I did things to the truck unless you are a serious buyer. I am not looking for any kind of trades. [I've put less than a couple of hundred miles on it since delivery.] Body- The body has been completely massaged back to better than factory smooth. LMC steel roll pans have been welded in on the front and rear of the truck. The entire body minus the door handles has been shaved. This includes any kind of lighting minus the headlights and tail lights. An LMC billet grill is installed. The headlights have been upgraded to a set of JW Speaker all glass housings with separate high and low beam lights. For better lighting both the high and low beams have HID conversions done. The amount of light out of these is incredible. We also wired the headlights so when the high beams are turned on the low beams stay on as well. The taillights are LMC LED units that have been shaved smooth and then frenched into the back of the truck. Anything on the truck that wasn’t painted was powder coated satin black. This includes the exterior door handles. We also mounted a set of AAMP Research motorized steps on the truck. These are one of a kind as AAMP doesn’t make them for this vehicle. The entire truck has been professionally painted in a satin flat black. This includes the top, under hood and interior metal dash. A new windshield was installed about 4 months ago. To hide the wiring going into the doors we installed a set of rubber door boots from a new Volkswagen. This gives the door a factory appearance. [I installed front marker/turn signals. There were no front turn signals on the truck when I received it. Plus, the rear turn signal blinker didn't work either. Some under dash wiring was broken and is now repaired better than new. I also removed the lift blocks from the axles so the springs now sit on the axles properly. It's still lifted nicely with a much safer stance and ride.] Wheels and Tires- Wheels and tires are 20” KMC Rockstars with 35x12.50xR20 TOYO Open Country MT tires. The tires still have plenty of tread left. I do have the center caps for the wheels. I left them off as I felt it looked better without them. The tires have maybe 10,000 miles at the most on them. [The wheels and tires were removed and replaced with new Mickey Thompson classic wheels and Mickey Thompson Baja ATV 33" tires. These have less than 250 miles of driving time. The Rockstars and Toyo tires are no longer available.] Motor- The motor is a 1993 LT1 from a Camaro that has been completely rebuilt. The motor has about 1500 miles on it since being built. The motor has been decked and honed as well as balanced and bored .030 over. The pistons are TRW sealed power flat top forced units with factory pink rods. The crank is a polished and balanced steel unit. The valve train consists of a GM “Hot Cam Kit” with 1.6 roller rockers. The motor was built using all GM Performance accessories. Valve covers are from Canton while the ignition is an MSD unit. Fuel injectors are 30 Lb. units from Ford Racing. ECU tuning was done by LT1PCMTuning.com and can be retuned by them for your location if needed. The exhaust starts with ceramic coated Hooker headers and then goes into a custom 3.5” dual exhaust with an H-pipe. The exhaust then dumps out over the rear axle. The over flow and catch cans are custom aluminum units mounted under the hood. The fuel pump is an in tank electric unit and the oil pump is a Meling high volume unit. For a cleaner look the fire wall was shaved during the body work and paint. All factory grounds have been upgraded. [No changes to motor. Everything here is top notch and runs great.] Drive train- The axles have been swapped out for ¾ ton with 4:10 gears installed. The front axle has the bigger factory disc brakes while the rear has the bigger factory drums. Front locking hubs are from Warn. The transmission is a rebuilt turbo 350 with a shift kit and high stall convertor. The transmission has the same amount of mileage as the new motor. The transfer case is a resealed NP205 unit. [Gears have been replaced with a set of 3:42's front and rear making the truck much more highway friendly. The 4:10's are included with the truck. The transfer case shift lever was installed as the truck didn't have one on arrival. What was the previous owner thinking?] Interior- Being the owner of a mobile electronics shop, I spent a lot of time on the interior making it comfortable and functional. The entire interior is sound deadened with 150 sq. ft. of Stinger and Dynamat products as well as the entire bed section is Rhino Lined. This includes the entire floor, doors, bed sides and up the fire wall. Dynamat Dynapads are also installed on the floor board. A black plush carpet kit is installed throughout the entire vehicle. The seats are a set of black leather seats out of a 2006 Pontiac GTO. The power seat controls are completely functional. I also installed carbon fiber heated seat kits in both seats. I have the back seat out of the GTO as well but I never finished installing it. The rear seat will come with the truck. The front seat belts were swapped out with a set of red lap belts. The arm rest slides back to reveal two drink holders that are back lit with white LED’s. The remote eye piece for the Audison Bit One processor (more on this in the audio section) is flush mounted at the front of the console. In front of the eye piece is a dock for an iPod. The dock will work with any iPod or iPhone. The dock will charge your iPod or iPhone. The center console has aluminum accents throughout. The bottom of the console has a hidden storage spot underneath for the wife’s purse. The inside of the hard top has been upholstered with black carpet giving it a finished look. I also had a custom bikini soft top made for the cab and the bed. A custom roll bar was also fabricated to stiffen up the truck when the top is off as well as allow a spot for the tie downs for the soft top. The roll bar is powder coated flat black and comes out when the hard top is reinstalled. The dash is probably the best part of the interior. I installed a second glove box door in place of where the factory gauges were. The rest of the dash has been shaved and smoothed. The sheet metal was then painted the same color as the exterior. For gauges the truck now has a one piece unit from Dakota Digital designed for a 66-77 Ford Bronco in a custom built bezel in the center of the dash. The unit is a completely digital with speed, tach, fuel level, water temp, voltage, oil pressure and odometer. The gauge has a cool feature allowing you to measure all kinds of performance times and measurements. See Dakota Digital’s web site for a list of these cool features. I also have the check engine light and blinker lights tied into it as well. The custom gauge pod has an acrylic ring behind it that is back lit with white LED’s. This set up looks incredible at night. The dash pad has been rebuilt and rewrapped in black vinyl. The dash pad is built to incorporate the gauge pod. For heat I installed a Vintage Air kit with custom knobs mounted in the factory location. With the dash being shaved I relocated the wiper and headlight switched underneath the dash in an easy to reach spot. Even though the factory glove box has been shaved, it is still functional. Inside the glove box is a USB and 12v charger allowing you to charge any portable devices you have with you in the vehicle. Since the vehicle has no dome lights, I installed a MITO Gentex rear view mirror that has built-in white LED dome lights, compass, temperature and auto dimming capabilities. The windows are a one off one piece window kit. The wing windows have been removed. The windows are also power now with custom aluminum control switches mounted in the center console. Power locks have also been installed. These are tied into the alarm system. A brand new Boyd Coddington Ultra Classic steering wheel replaces the stock unit. [The speedometer portion of the Dakota unit was recalibrated on a dynamometer to account for the gearing change and new tires.] Audio system- Here is the crown jewel of the entire truck. The audio system was designed and built to be weather proof. That way when you have the top off and you get caught in the rain, the audio equipment is safe. All of the speakers and amps are from JL Audio’s marine line. The cool thing about the stereo system in this truck is there is no in-dash radio. Everything is done via iPod through the Audison Bit One processor. Simply dock your iPod into the front of the center console and you are done. The front speakers consist of 2 pair of JL Audio 7.7” marine speakers in custom built kick panels. The kick panels are built as actual speaker enclosures instead of just panels with an open back. This allows for much more mid bass out of the speakers. The subs consist of 4 JL Audio 10” marine subwoofers. The subs are in custom built enclosures in the rear sides of the truck. There is a pair of woofers on each side of the truck. Amplification is handled by three JL Audio marine HD series amplifiers. There are two MHD750/1 mono block amps to run the subwoofers and a single MHD600/4 4 channel amp to run the front speakers. The processor from Audison is the brains behind this entire system. It is a 30 band EQ/crossover with built-in adjustable time alignment. All of the tuning is done via your lap top computer. It has the option to save different EQ settings allowing you to have one setting for the top on and one for the top off. All of the wiring and interconnects is done with JL Audio products. There are also two Stinger batteries. One being under the hood and the second one is installed in the back with the amplifiers. The amplifiers and battery are mounted in a custom built steel amp rack to keep everything mounted solid in the back of the truck. All of the power wires for the batteries and amps are JL Audio 1/0 AWG wire going into JL Audio distro blocks and interconnects. In both the custom built door panels and the sub enclosures I have back lit JL Audio logos that are activated when the doors are opened. [There was some broken and loose wiring under the dash. I had a Master Certified Audio installer inspect and repair the wiring that was loose or damaged. Now all the wiring is rock solid and it all works as intended.] Security/Remote Start- The security/remote start system is the latest technology from Compustar. It is an LED 2-way system with Compustar’s new Drone iPhone module. The remotes for the system have built-in confirmation. Send a command to the truck and if the truck received it you will then be paged back on the remote. The Drone module allows you to control the truck from your iPhone through the Drone APP. This also gives you the alarm notification and vehicle tracking through your phone. This module will work on BlackBerry’s and Droid based phones as well. [I'm the Ravelco anti theft device distributor for south Texas and I had my top technician install the Ravelco anti theft device in the Blazer. If you're unfamiliar with the Ravelco device you should note that NO vehicle with the Ravelco installed has EVER been stolen with over 4-million satisfied customers since 1976. Like many people I find alarms to be at best annoying and at worst provide a completely false sense of security. Tracking systems like OnStar and LoJack may find the vehicle once its been stripped of valuable parts while not doing anything to prevent the vehicle from being stolen in the first place. Note that the remote start function will only work with the Ravelco plug inserted; if the Ravelco plug is not in place, then of course the vehicle won't start. I never bothered with the Drone App since I have no use for it's functionality. I'll provide the original installers name and phone number so the app's ownership can be transferred to the new buyer.] I think I have everything listed here. There might be some small things I forgot. As you can see a lot of time and money is invested in this truck. It is definitely one of a kind and people flock to it wherever it is parked. There were no short cuts taken on this vehicle as I am very picky when having things done. Most of the work was done professionally at my business. The only things that were done outside of my shop were the paint and body work and the drive train. I guarantee you won’t find another Blazer like this one. [This Blazer is now a completely finished project with nothing left to do to it. As I said in the first paragraph, circumstances have changed for me such that I have to sell the Blazer sooner rather than later. The reserve is set very low so that the truck gets sold. Thanks for taking the time to read this.]
