Vehicle Detail

1966 Ford F-250. Truck was sold new in Douglas, GA on 4/04/66 and was originally white with a 300 6 cyl engine and three options: emergency flashers, windshield washer, and padded dash. Fixed up about 15 years and 45,000 miles ago and the following work was accomplished: repainted red exterior; repainted burgundy interior; refoamed and reupholstered seat installed; new windshield, rear window, and door weatherstriping; bed floor replaced with diamond plate steel; rebuilt 351C engine installed with new radiator and clutch. 351C was originally in a 1971 Torino and details are as follows: 4V closed chamber heads, milled flat top pistons for a final compression ratio of 9.5 to 1, Crane cam, Duraspark distributor and box; several years ago a Blue Thunder high rise dual plane aluminum intake manifold was installed (supposed to be a reissue of the early 70’s Shelby intake) along with a 600 CFM Holley. About four years ago the truck was converted over to power front disk brakes from a 1974 F-250 with rebuilt master cylinder/booster, new hubs/rotors/bearings, rebuilt twin piston calipers, new pads, new tie rods and draglink, and new radius arm bushings. Recently new vent window seals, division bars, window anti-rattler strips, windshield wipers, and heater core have been installed. The truck has a receiver hitch and nice Michelin X Radial LT 235/85 R16 tires. I also have the original owner’s manual and warranty card. Issues: the paint is 15 years old and faded, quarter size dent on the RH fender (from dropping a tool), quarter size dent on the RH headlight door (from a rock), RH door is a little wavy, both doors have some minor bubbling at the bottom, core support has small amount of rust at the bottom RH side, RH rocker has spot of rust about the size of a pencil eraser, the drivers floor has been patched, and the seat cover is showing some wear (no rips or tears, just 15 years of wear). I would consider all this easily touched up when re-painting and nothing should require any major surgery; just trying to provide an honest description. This is a good 10 foot truck and runs and drives fine. I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it anywhere I just no longer need it. I also have a brand new front sway bar that hasn’t been installed yet that will be included with the sale. There is a very modest reserve on the truck; contact me if you have questions. Continental U.S. sales only; local pick-up only; payment due within seven days of auction end; truck needs to be picked up within two weeks of auction end. Sold with a bill of sale only (GA doesn't require titles on vehicles this old) and no warranty. This is being relisted due to non-paying bidder. If you don't have at least 10 feedback and don't contact me before bidding your bid will cancelled. On Mar-09-11 at 18:00:40 PST, seller added the following information: Several have asked for pictures of the floors, rockers, and underside of bed so these have been added. Also note that in the passenger rocker (really A pillar and rocker junction) there are two small areas of dead rust where it looks like leaves or dirt sat there for some time and caused some corrosion. The area was painted with the rest of the truck about 15 years ago and no further deteriration has occured in the area.
