Vehicle Detail
I am selling this car b/c I am looking for a new project car. I purchased this car in 1993 and drove the car daily. I decided to do a frame off in late 2004 when I cracked the original block. I pulled the body, sandblasted and powder coated the frame satin black. I actually powder coated a lot of things under the car. I even powder coated the front fender wells. If it could be powder coated it was. Every part of the chassis was rebuilt or replaced w/new. I went with poly bushings in the control arms w/new ball joints. I went with QA1 semi coilovers up front and adjustable rear shocks. The steering box was disassembled, cleaned and powder coated silver. I purchased a used 1985 Corvette TPI motor, had it rebuilt and painted it the same color as the car and installed dual spal fans. The original color of the car was grey. Someone backed into my driver side door about 1996 so a new door skin was put on and we shot the car in Porsche Red. The rear end was also rebuilt w/a new Eaton Posi unit and 3:73 gears. From the FL sun and having the windows open, it eventually faded the top part of the front seats and the cloth tore. During the frame off, I had the front seats redone. The rear seats were not touched. The dash is all original to with an aftermarket radio. One of the knobs on the radio is broken. I didn't really worry about the stereo system in the car so all of speakers are stock and could use some attention. There are only a few minor things this car needs beside a stereo system. The original lower door moldings on the outside of the car were lost during a move. New ones cost about $500 and the windows could be retinted. I choose not to redo them when I went through the car b/c they were in OK condition at them time. Now that I am selling it, I decided against it once again b/c not all states can have window tint. I do take the cars to local shows so it does get driven. Please take a look at some of my pics. I have more so if you are interested, please send me an e-mail. One thing I forgot to mention is that the car has a shift kit in the 700r4 tranny as well as an aluminum driveshaft. More pics and youtube video available. If your interested, send me a message and I will forward you the links.
