An original survivor! 1962 Comet 4-door Custom with all original paint, interior, and drive train. Engine cranks and runs good. Newer pan gaskets indicate some type of work done in past, don't know what was done. Engine block is very clean. Brakes need work, therefore not roadworthy now. New radiator just installed, original had leaks. Drivers seat has tears on drivers side, would be good to cover with plastic covers to retain original look, although foam is in good shape. Radio even works. This car was sold in north Tenn. and spent its entire life in the same town, therefore no salt on roads or salt air to contend with rust issues. Both front floor pans need replacing, the rest of the car has little surface rust but otherwise in great condition. The leading edge of the hood is rusty, seems Comet had a problem with that. The gas tank looks good but is currently disconnected, have jug feeding carburator for now. I brought the car to Mobile from Tenn last month, was going to restore but found another project so this one must go. An Alabama Bill of Sale will be given to buyer, no title available on the car. Alabama does not require titles on cars earlier than 1975. Car is for sale locally and subject to be removed from this listing with no noticed. Car to be sold as-is, no warranties expressed or implied. The man I purchased the car from in Tenn bought it from the original owner's nephew, who claimed his aunt kept the car under a carport its entire life.
