History: My mother bought this car from the original owner back in 1998 with 85K miles. Since then she has only driven it locally (average 4,500 miles a year). We have kept it in good shape as it was our first Mercedes in the family and been going to a reliable Mercedes-Benz Mechanic who kept it running well. Condition: The interior is in great condition. It almost seems like is it a few years old rather than 16 years old. The exterior has some dings and scratches. The original paint is starting to crack so I recommend a new paint job. Note that this car has NEVER been in an accident since we had it. The front bumper was replaced about 10 years ago after my mom accidentally got it yanked by a tall concrete parking block at the mall. The engine runs great! The only issue it has is that it needs the throttle actuator replaced. This is what the mechanic told me. It occasionally fails leading to the engine not starting. I normally have to wait 10-15 minutes before it starts again. The radio, HVAC, lights, electrical all runs fine. The remote to unlock and lock the door does not work and you need to open it manually with the key. This is not a car for you if you just want to buy a cheap Mercedes. I am being honest here as I have put a good amount of money into this car to maintain it and expect that to continue if you buy it. This car is for those who love the brand and are willing to pay to keep this car vintage and continue to treat it with the love that my family gave it.
