Vehicle Detail

Up for your consideration is my 1968 Camaro Z-28 restoration project car. I know collectors question real Z's without paper work, as I also do, but this is a real Z-28 documented by the parts on the car and I talked to the second owner of the car some 6 plus years ago when I bought it. The second seller told me his friend bought it brand new in 1968 and then sold it to him so he could buy a new 1969 Z-28 in 1969. Also the original matching number Muncie transmission was found and bought from the 4th owners family. It was a lifetime Arizona car until it was brought it to California, so there is no rust issues I can see. I have a clean California title with it. I always hoped to restore it, but there has always been other cars and bikes in front of it. So I have decided to sell it. I am selling it as a roller. The original engine is long gone. There is no engine being sold with this Z. The Z comes with its original matching number Muncie transmission. The trans has already been rebuilt. The car build date is 06B. I believe the optional 456 12 bolt posi rear end to be original to the car. Rear end casting number is 8894860NF. The rear end date is D 23 8 and it is stamped BW 0528G1 with the E under the stamped date, which decodes as May 28th 1968. This Z-28 also retains its original 4 speed radiator, code O D and dated E for May of 1968, its original brake power booster, part number 9078 and dated the 144th day of the year, its original master cylinder, part number 5460346 and stamped WT, its original 2 piece brake rotors and its original 4 piston brake calipers, part number 5533 and dated the 122nd day of the year. It has manuel steering. The paint code is GG, ash gold and 722, gold bucket seat interior. It is a tach and gauge Z. The tach is there, but the console and gauges are gone. As you can see the car is in primer now. There is cracks in some bondo right behind the passenger door on the 1/4 panel, see picture. At some point it must have been hit there and repaired. It will need to be fixed again before paint. There is also a cut in the floor under the gas pedal that will be a easy fix ?? I have some extra parts I have bought that I will include in this auction including 2 GM front fenders that were only used on another Camaro as a mock up, 2 good used lower front fender extensions, gold seat belts, a good used front grill and a very nice set of rear tail lights. I am sure there will be a few more items I might find and throw in with the deal. I will answer all questions. I can E-mail more pictures in needed. If someone buys this Z, I want a $500.00 deposit to paypal within 10 hours of the sale and payment in full within 7 days of sale. Checks must clear and cash in person. I hope my Z-28 goes to a good home. Due to todays economy, the buy it now is much less then I am in the car. I most likely forgot to tell something about this car, so questions welcome. Thanks for looking. I forgot to put a picture on E-bay of the seats in the car. Both front buckets and both rear seats are in the car. They were taken out to get floor pictures, thanks. To answer a few questions, yes the front windshild is cracked and yes you can call me at 918-514-4392 9AM til 11PM central time. I did take some pictures of the frame rails. Let me know your E-mail address and I can send them to you. Thanks. A few have asked about transportation. I can hold the car for up to 30 days or longer. I can take the car to meet a transporter within 1 hour from Tulsa Oklahoma for no charge or I know of 2 empty trailers going west on the 40 from Oklahoma City to California for about half the going rate. Thanks
