1969 FJ40 Land Cruiser 5.3 vortec out if 2002 silverado (20k miles) ls1 oil pan 700r4 auto transmission (5k miles on rebuild) Old Man Emu lift 17" pro comp wheels 33" mickey thompson mtz tires Rebuilt axles New brake lines, pads & cylindars Power steering Power brakes Warn locking hubs T-max 6500lb winch New Poly gas tank New gauges New exhaust New windows and gaskets I took my time in building the cruiser up. Everything is modernized to drive comfort and reliability. I am an engineer and have carefully designed the drive train to fit and function perfectly. It will drive down the highway at 2600rpm running at 80mph. You can even let go of the steering wheel with no worries of tracking off the road or getting any bump steer. Summer is coming up and this is the perfect vehicle to stand out and drive with the top off. The bad part about this vehicle is the body. Standing from 15ft away it looks great, but when you get up close you can see the imperfections. The person I bought it from already had all the body work done so I don't know exactly how much rust was really on it. But they did a pretty good job on the patch work. New sheet metal was welded on and then covered with bondo. There are a few spots on the body that are starting to bubble from rust starting to form under the bondo. Each side of the rocker panels and on the bottom of the drivers side door. When I installed the body lift, I installed everything except the rear body mounts. I drove it for a while and cracked the bondo right behind the doors. I have talked to a few body shops about repairing it and they said they could repair the bad spots from $800 - $1200 but none of them said that they would warranty their work because they could not guarantee that any rust would start to form again. I personally am not bothered by these spots. It still looks very good. I am easy to work with if you need help with shipping.
