Vehicle Detail
I AM RELISTING THE CAR AGAIN, DUE TO A NON-PAYING BIDDER!! The bidding was over $4000.00 so I put a buy it now price on it for anyone that wants the car, but does not want to wait or chance it. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE $$$ GET A JOB AND WORK LIKE THE REST OF US, I REPORT ALL NON-PAYING BIDDERS TO EBAY AS THEY WILL, WELL I GUESS YOU WILL FIND OUT IF YOU DO NOT PAY! This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION, meaning the high bidder gets the car, as it has to go!!! I have way too many cars, no time or room in the shop, so it is time to thin the herd. I took this car in trade this last August, the guy that had this car has put a ton (thousands of dollars) of money into it and is by no means perfect, but it will be an every day driver/work in progress, finish as you drive it. It show about 116,400 miles on the odometer and the only thing that I did to the car was, put the interior back in, the floor pans were just installed/welded as he lost interest in the car and wanted something else. All complete running/driving and original numbers matching 80 Camaro Z/28 350 engine (vin number stamped on the block pad matches the car) 170hp with turbo 3 speed automatic and a 10-bolt non-posi rear end, the Vin tag denotes it is a true Z/28 because they because the number "8" in the vin denotes it is a Van Nuys, they only built the Z/28's. Options from the factory include, rear window defogger, cruise control, full gauge package, aluminum wheels, front and rear sway bars and (working) Air Induction. Here is the information that I have on the car, It had been driven in/parked in my shop for about six months and it had maybe three drips of oil (quarter size spot) somewhere from what I believe is the oil pan, no other leaks anywhere from the car. It has from what I would call a 20 footer paint job done on it about two years ago, it looks awesome from 20 feet, but as you get closer you will see some sanding marks and some poor paint prepping, most of which I believe will come out because the car was never wet sanded or buffed out after the paint job. It looks as if they put a new stripe kit on shortly after it was painted and they look really nice. It has some very small areas on the lower part of the car starting to bubble, it is very hard to tell/see, but I took some pictures of those spots for you to see. The car itself is very straight as you look down the sides of it, however I can see signs of bondo in some areas (rear fender dog legs, lower doors and passengers fender), the front drivers side fender must have been replaced and the paint color is a little off (darker brown). The hood/fenders need to be re-shimmed as the bodylines on them have some gaps and need to be adjusted for the proper fit. The front and rear bumpers are in perfect condition, never been hit and are very nice with no wrapping or damage of any kind. The interior is in very good condition for its age, however it has holes cut in the door panels for speakers that are missing, the dash pad has two very small cracks one at the very top in the seam stitching and one at the very bottom, both are in the center part of the dash area and are not that noticeable. The dash lens has some fogging in it and needs to buffed out (see picture), the seats have no cuts or damage in them, but someone re-placed the drivers seat cover (upper and lower) and they did not stretch it properly this is why you see wrinkles in it. From what I can tell all of the lights/gauges wok properly, but I did not drive this car down the road very far just around the block and it seems to shift/drive fine with no appeared problems or issues. The reverse lockout lever need adjusting because it is hard to get the key out of the ignition without turning the steering column collar to the left/right a little by hand. Below is a list of some of the new parts installed in the car, which I do have the receipts and they will be in the glove box of the car, along with the owners manual and remote control for the radio. New Parts: LH & RH Full Floor Pans Complete Trunk Floor Pan (not installed) Carpet Headliner Front Inner Fenders Ceramic Headers Battery Tray and Clamp LH & RH Upper and Lower Door Hinges (LH Hinges Are Installed) Sill Plates Door and Trunk Weather striping Kits Flow Master Super 44 Series Mufflers Drivers Seat Cover Over $1,800 in receipts from the last 18 months spent on this car. Rebuilt transmission/converter with shift kit (1995 receipt included) New leaf springs and shackle sets (1996 receipt included) One Year Old Dual AM/FM/CD/MPE/WMA Receiver w/Detachable Face and Remote Control. It appears to be working (lights up), but all four speakers have been taken out of the car (doors and package tray). So I have to say that the working condition is unknown. Tires are almost brand new (have about 95% tread left), with the exception of the rear passenger’s side, its looks as if some kid (boy I never did this back in my day) did a brake stand and wasted the tire, it has about half of the tread left and the other half is on the inside of the fender well. This is one way to find out if does not has a positraction rear end without having to jack the car up and spin the tires. The bad, or what I see that this car needs is, both rear frame rails need repair or replacement (see pictures) you make the call, the passengers side is the worse and the rust is located/confined to where the leaf spring brackets meet the frame rail and is typical of these cars because of the poor design for the water to escape. In my opinion the car is un-worthy for the road until this is repaired. The trunk floor pan has some rust holes (see pictures) way at the top along the frame rail area, I have a complete trunk floor pan that goes with the car, but you can cut/section those areas in if needed without having to re-place the complete pan. The windshield needs re-placing as it does have a crack across the center portion of it, the drivers side door window has some scratching in it from the window track felt missing. The trunk lock is missing and needs to be replaced, I also see that the front shock is missing along with the front sway bar stabilizer link pin, think It was taken apart to replace the shock which never did happen. I HAVE A CLEAR, CLEAN, LEIN FREE TILE IN MY NAME AND IT IS IN MY HAND! If you have ANY question PLEASE ask as I am sure I forgot something??? If you want to see or inspect the car, please come and look!! You can call me for more info, drop me a email and I will send you my phone number. If you want more specific pictures or if you have any questions, please ask. I will respond to all questions daily. The car is also for sale locally. I reserve the right to end my auction early for payment in full, or I could put a buy it now price that we both agree on!!! Terms and conditions of sale: If you do not have the money, please do not bid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The car must be picked up in 15 days unless other arrangements have been made. The car does NOT leave the yard until it is paid for in full.
