This is a highly customized 1971 FJ40. However in customizing this truck keeping it close to original was part of the goal. The goal of this semi custom refit was to build a great daily driver that looks and rides great. This is NOT a full restore but it is a bad to the bone truck that runs, sounds and looks tough! A full restore would not be much work at all. This truck has a F2 engine out of a 1978 which has a hot cam, stainless headers. This truck sounds awesome and is really fast for an FJ40. It also has the 4 speed on the floor. Paint is in good condition. Everything on this truck works that is still installed. The truck is lifted a little and has brand new bf33s and brand new old man Emu suspension. If you know these trucks you know by looking at it that it's done right! The suspension is first class as well as all of the upgrades. The top is a custom made top that came from Packastan and then we had the canvas redone even though it was new with the material used on Mercedes Benz tops. This truck is awesome, it gets looks and runs great. This is that is new on the truck.• Old Man Emu Suspension and lift• Brand new brakes, full brake lines, and master cylinder (brand new everything brakes)• Brand new upholstery front and back seats• Brand new Top with upgraded canvas• Brand new dash board• Brand new full wire harness and flat style fuse panel• Brand new BF 33s• Brand new webber carb (I still have the original carb and it's included with this sale)• Brand new snorkel and custom air box Other items that are custom but now brand new• Custom ARB bull bar that's tied into the frame with fender guards• Super winch with hand control• rhino lined interior (could be redone soon)• 1978 F2 engine in great shape - no idea on miles• Customized gauge cluster• 4 speed on the floor transmission from a 1978 The things that should be addressed... These were not important to me but someone might want to fix this stuff.• The truck has no doors• There are a few minor rust spots on the body (only 3 or 4 small ones)• The floor pan on the drivers side has rust seen in the pictures (I also took a picture of what it looks like under this area)• There is minor surface rust on the back of the frame on one side of the truck. Before me this truck was owned by a Ferrari mechanic who owns a custom tuning shop. He did all of the work to this truck and still looks after it for me. Everything done here was done first class.
