Vehicle Detail

Description: You are bidding on a 1970 Olds Cutlass Coupe, dressed up on the outside as a 442. If you are looking for an affordable option to the real thing, under $15k, this is the car for you! Nobody will know the difference when you cruise by them with this beauty. This car is used a daily driver and is solid in and out and will not disappoint at the local cruise night or car show. I use the car regularly, only in good weather, and it rests in my garage when not in use. It has not felt a raindrop while in my possession. I bought this car early this year and invested quite a bit of money into it, making it road worthy and reliable, thinking I was keeping it for the long term. My situation has changed and I am moving to a new house with no garage, and cannot keep the vehicle knowing it would have to be outside all the time. I have a car cover for it also, and it gets covered when in the garage. The car has been scrutinized by mechanics and all necessary work has been done to make this as reliable as any other car. It runs beautifully and it is truly a head turner with the fresh red paint, matching SSIII ralley wheels, and custom pin-striping. It drives straight and true, smooth on the highway and stops straight as an arrow. The car is located in Central N.J. so if you live locally and want to see it, just send me a note on ebay email. If you want to send an inspection service, you are welcome to do that as well; just reach out to me. I have the original build sheet, although it has seen better days. I also have the original protecto-plate. From what I can tell, the motor is original to the car, but the paint color is not (originally Azure blue with white vinyl top). The Odometer is at 63550, and I am not sure if it has turned over or not; my assumption is that it has. The car was purchased from a collector, through a third party in Michigan in May 2010. I have not performed any research on the ownership history of the vehicle. This is a 40 year old vehicle, in very nice shape and will give someone years of pleasure. This is a car you have to drive and have fun with! Features: 350 motor A/C - (intact but not blowing cold) Edelbrock Performer Intake (I have the original Intake) Edelbrock 650 CFM carb ( I have the Original carb) Automatic with console Recently painted White interior All weather Car cover included Ralley Steering Wheel 12 bolt rear Custom painted pinstripe Comes with a real nice Tilt Steering Column and new directional switch New replacement headliner still in the box, also comes with it. Work Done: (since May 2010) Front end completely redone (ball joints, tie rods, idler arm, etc...) New Tires New Brakes New Battery NewAlternator New Voltage Regulator New Water Pump New Steering Box New Power Steering Pump Replaced all Belts and Hoses New Coil Springs - Front and Rear New Shocks - Front and Rear Complete Exhaust System with correct trumpet tips Complete Tune up - including cap, rotor, wires, fuel filter, plugs, cooling system flush, oil change Transmission Filter and Fluid Rear End Fluid New Edlebrock 650 Carb- (Have original Rochester) New Edlebrock Manifold- (Have original intake manifold) All Engine Gaskets New Wiper Motor New Headlights New Front/Rear Bumpers Replaced Relays/switches Heater/AC Controls Replaced all Duct Hose Behind Dash Installed Ralley Steering Wheel (nice tilt column comes with the deal-ready to be installed) New Rear Package Tray with speaker holes New seat covers on buckets Stereo - (Rear speakers concealed under rear package tray deck and front speakers molded into custom kickplates) Custom pinstripe on sides, trunk lid and hood to match the interior pearl white color (conservatively done, but nice) What does the car need? (no secrets, here is my assessment of what it needs - I invite you to have the car inspected by a certified auto professional) The interior is nice, but has not been fully converted to 442 specs. I have the metal backed woodgrain for the dash - all it needs is to be installed. I ordered a period replica radio but it did not fit in the existing dash opening, so that is why I have it sitting inside the glove compartment - I did not want to alter the dash to fit it in. I would try to find the correct Olds radio and install into the dash to fill that spot. The radio is AM/FM with an MP3/CD AUX connection, and station preset buttons. As I said, I have a nice tilt steering column I am throwing into the deal, including a new turn signal switch and levers. Also including new headliner. There are some pieces of window weatherstrip that are old and need replacing. Both rear quarter windows could use new stripping. Nothing that can't be handled by yourself. The center console compartment does not latch properly, it closes, but doesn't catch on the latch. I have a new hinge for it, that is not installed yet. The A/C is connected, but blows warm. I have not spent any time troubleshooting. THE BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKUP AND TRANSPORT. I WILL CONSIDER DELIVERY WITHIN A 50 MILE RADIUS OF MY HOME - BUT ONLY AFTER TRANSACTION HAS BEEN FULLY EXECUTED. I WILL ACCEPT A CERTIFIED BANK CHECK, CASH, OR PAYPAL (for deposit only).
