Here is a very rare 1994 Chevrolet K Blazer 1500 with a 6.5L Turbo Diesel engine. And it does not stop there, the vehicle has also been professionaly convertered to run on straight vegetable oil (SVO). This is a complete, turn-key, ready to go converted truck. The average person would not be able to tell anything has been done from the outside except for the extra fill-tube and the pillar gauges. There are 2 tanks, one for vegetable oil and the other for diesel. You can switch between them with the simple flick of a switch inside the cabin. The system has been installed for over 2 years and works perfectly, there is full power when running on the veggie oil. This Blazer has been meticulously cared for over the last 3 years. All of the common problems with these motors has been addressed, the injection pump is new, the PMD has been replaced with a kit that prevents it from frying again (GM 6.5 Diesel FSD Heat-Sync kit from SS Diesel Supply), and the ECM has been replaced. Other items of note include a completely redone Air conditioning system, the rear end was taken off the truck and completely rebuilt, and the batteries are new. This included the installation of a new custom 14 gallon tank underneath the vehicle for use as a diesel tank. Their welder uses very thick material for the base of the tank and they install the tank so that you do not lose any clearance so that it isn’t vulnerable. They install tanks underneath vehicles just like the factory tanks that come with the truck. The shop dropped the stock 40 gallon fuel tank and installed a hot fox heat exchanger to turn it into a veggie tank, and then installed a top loading fuel filter and accessory pump under the engine compartment for the veggie system. Installation included the base conversion kit, internally heated 900FH fuel filter, custom diesel tank, Hot Fox heat exchanger, and A-pillar mount w/ gauges. The total for this conversion totalled over $4000.
