This is the last year produced 280ZX with a 5 speed manual transmission and factory T-tops with leather interior and orig 104k miles . Throughout the Z series few will argue that the 1983 is the most refined all all Z's and just a great running and driving car . This example has been owned since new with NEW still on title , and has been well maintained and still stands the test of time . Everything is working on this car from all interior and exterior lights and all gages including the fuel gage and power antenna . Car is all stock with the exception of an upgraded circa 80's am-fm cass with speakers . The check system still works with no neg warning , the speedometer , tach , fuel ( including the 1/4 gage ) works , the power windows , locks , pulse wipers , electric rear defogger , power mirrors , remote trunk , all warning chimes , voice warning system , even the light inder the hood . Lets get to the real problems with these cars which is the rust , these cars were known to run forever but rust is the #1 enemy . There are a few spots but nothing to bad , gagraged most of it's life it has fought off most of the North East winters braving it in the gagrage but there is mostly scaleing then rust or rot . Floors are solid , frame rails and frame boxes look great , all jacking points are good . Paint has some checking mostly on pass side rear quarter and upper door . This is a car you can get in and drive and never restore , restore as you go , or take it apart and have all parts present for a new paint and minor work if that . Title is free and clear , car can be faithfully driven and has current inspection /classic car insured , was never laid up and stored but used little , mileage back in 1991 was 79,283 and has only traveled to 104,000 currently over the last 20 yrs .
