Vehicle Detail
1966' GMC, ½ ton short-bed pick up. A true west coast find; sold new in Medford Oregon and has always been on the west coast, so it has minimal rust! Very original looking 66' 2wd GMC with its original factory “Big Block” 305 ci V6 engine and a 4 speed manual transmission tied to it. This truck has had a ¾ ton rear axle installed along with the matching front end giving it full power disk brakes and power steering, although to most people it looks totally stock. Along with these modifications this truck has had a 2-speed Brownie overdrive transmission and a dual exhaust installed making this great old truck very drivable. It runs great too and with these perfectly matched modifications. This truck is very usable now as an every-day driver. It starts right up, has a very smooth and quiet idle, no smoking with a manual choke. As most people know, back in those days, a GMC was built differently than a Chevy (Chevrolet) and was built heavier to work harder. Chevy used that weak straight six, but GMC used the big V6's for more roadable power. As stated, this old truck has very little rust and only what would be typical for any Chevy/GMC type truck of this series. To the best of my knowldege, everything works very well. It has two fuel tanks along with electric trailering brakes. The rims are 16” matching the drive line completely. The body is very straight and the doors close with one finger only, a perfect fit still without hinge sag. It has a newly rebuilt carb, new fuel pump and a new battery. I am including the age correct canopy as shown in these photos. The bed is very nice for its age and has a carpet-kit installed now inside of the canopy. I also have some spare parts and the original owners manual I will include. Try to find another one this clean and useable. It is located in Klamath Falls, Oregon and ready to be driven home. We live in Klamath Falls which is located about a 4 1/2 hour drive from Reno, about 5 hours south of Portland and about 5 hours north of Sacramento. Klamath Falls is very easy to find as we are just across the border with California and right on highway 97 and highway 140 coming east out of Medford, Oregon. *I am in no way a dealer or shop, just a guy with a nice old truck he really does not have the right interest in. So, it needs a better home with more appreciation and love to give it. I am not new to Ebay and I have a perfect feedback record that speaks for itself. Thanks for looking, Email me at rraypo@hotmail.com for more pictures or any additional information. Your $500 deposit is expected within 48 hours and full payment must be made within 7 days. If the deposit is not received or full payment not made, I reserve the right to re-list this truck right away and will file negative feedback. This great old truck is available for sale locally and I am driving it here now with a for-sale sign on it here. So, if it sells here first, I reserve my right to end the auction early. Originally the V6's sounded sort of funny/strange, not this one Yes, the new owner can keep the carved wooden fish that's up on the hood! I loved that question! :-) Shipping/delivery? Lets talk, but full payment in my hands first of course And yes, I do have the title in hand, yes, it is clear and ready for you
