You are bidding on a 99 Honda Prelude with an automatic Transmission. This is the 200hp model that was just repainted its factory color. Before the paint job it had a few small dings removed by dent wizzard. The car just had the windows tinted and a new pioneer cd/mp3 player installed. The car also just had a major tune up plugs belt ect but is making a as well as 4 newer tires. The car looks great it is very very clean and sharp for a 99, there is no rust on the car. NOW the reason for me selling it is because the motor recently started making a ticking/tapping noise. I am not a mechanic nor did I bring it to one, it was my wifes car and she does sales, so we needed to get her another car asap, and I did not want her driving the car this way. The car however does start, run, and drive but is making a tapping noise. It could be a number of different things such as a valve tap, timing chain, rod knock, spun bearing I have no clue just guessing. It might be simple or the car might need to the motor rebuilt or replaced... That being said I will start the car low... I had no intent of getting rid of the car which is why I spent so much money on it trying to make it perfect. The car only has just over 89k miles on and drove great before this issue. I priced motors for 6-800 dollars on Ebay and Craigslist and around another 4-600 to install it, however we just did not have the time to let the car sit and get fixed. That being said it will be a steal for somone who knows how to work on cars, or is willing to get the car fixed. These cars in this condition sell for 5-7k.... And 89,000 miles is like unheard of on a prelude. Keep in mind this prelude has LEATHER seats that appear to be factory and in great shape...
