My 1962 VW 23 Window Deluxe Bus for sale with NO RESERVE... Final Bid takes this wonderful bus home. This is the bus you have been waiting for! Prices have been going up on these rare buses and get one before they are too far out of reach. All of the hard work has been done on this 23 window. I have two buses at the moment and have enjoyed 36 windows of bliss (23 + 13 windows LOL :) but a new addition to the family and loss of storage space prompts the sale of one of my favorite cars in the collection. Recently restored this last year and not even driven yet. Be the first to bring this bus for its Spring and Summer debut. So much work and money has been spent on this California Beauty. Its the 23 window rare walk through model complete with ragtop, safari windows, skylight windows, and jail bars. The motor is a rebuilt 1600 single port and stock 4 speed transmission. It does not have any rust issues. The floor pans are new and body is solid with no rust or bubbling. The paint job is amazing. It is pearl orange PPG taken from the Lamborghini paint code. It is complimented by a soft beige grey on upper body and trim. Many hours were spent working out the imperfections in the old paint and prepping for a high quality pearl paint job with 3 stages of paint. Motor does not smoke or leak any oil right now. It starts right up without any problems. The transmission shifts very smoothly. All of the electronics are working. Lights, signals, brake lights, headlights, speedo, fuel gauge and radio. It does have a hiccup under hard acceleration but will need to be driven more and diagnosed. Could be a carburetor issue but really have not had the time to check it out. Also the shifter has popped out of 2nd gear a few times while driving it. Brakes have a new dual master cylinder but brakes may still need to be bled and serviced again. The ragtop has a problem sliding back. Its missing some of the hardware to slide back on tracks. Think the shop lost it during the restoration. It can be repaired. The locking handle still works fine. Also the wing windows are missing locks and I will include the new set of locks but they need to be installed. This is a great bus for a collector or weekend beach cruiser and can be a show bus with a bit more work to take it to perfection.
