1976 Suzuki RM250A The First Year of the RM250 - Museum Quality Restoration Overview: If you are a collector you have to have one of these or your collection. If you don’t, your collection is missing one of the most important pieces of motocross history. The RM250A is the first year the RM250 was made. More importantly it is the bike that made motocross affordable to the masses. It gave the average “Joe” with $1,200.00 (1976 $’s) the ability to buy a bike off the showroom floor and be competitive. The 1976 RM250 is by far the rarest RM250. This is not a cosmetic makeover. This bike is completely restored to collector show quality. If you are looking for a clean rider, this bike is not for you. If you’re looking for a bike to stick in your living room and show off, then this is the bike you have been looking for. Every part has been removed and restored to show quality. This is a “no expense spared restoration”. Details Every part has been disassembled, cleaned, inspected and replaced if necessary. Here is the short list of what’s been done 1. All aluminum parts have been polished 2. All painted parts have been repainted or powder coated. 3. All bolts have been zinc plated. 4. All seals have been changed. 5. Then there is my labor. I have over 100 hours of work in this bike and that does not include the years I spent collecting these quality used and NOS parts Lastly there is the true value of a bike that cannot be duplicated. This bike is a better then new 35 year old bike, just as it was on the floor of the Suzuki dealership 35 years ago. Conclusion This is more than a collector bike, this is an investment opportunity, that’s great to look at. This may be your only chance to buy one of the rarest RM’s in this pristine a condition. This is a true investment opportunity. If you like Suzuki’s and more importantly a fan of MX history don’t let this bike go to someone else. Because of the quality of the restoration, this bike has not had gas in it since the restoration. I restore Suzuki RM’s to show quality, I am not a photographer. The pictures do not come close to doing this bike justice. This bike is not cheap, but if you want the best 1976 RM250 in existence, good luck in your bidding. Now is your chance to own a piece of motocross history.
