Vehicle Detail
I have for sale a restored 1966 Ford Mustang that I have been working on for the past two years. The car is in good condition which I will get into specific details later. I really do not want to sell this car but I am moving and have no choice, money was spent at no expense to get this car to top shape. I am more than realistic with the economy and I understand I will not get back what I put into the car. My lose is your gain! I will not attempt to sell this vehicle with a bid type auction. I want $9200.00 for the car. Point Blank. If you don't have the money, don't waste each other times, lets try and keep this simple. The motor, transmission, clutch, driveshaft and rear end cost me just around $8500 alone! I need to sell this car as my house just sold and have no where to store this vehicle. This car overall is in good shape for a 1966. I am the third owner. The owner before he had the car for 8 years and it was garage kept and barley driven. Only areas with rust are the floor pans in the upper corner and where the original battery sat. The acid from the battery ate the metal. This winter I was going to do the pans, (i have the floor pans though) They are rusted through in some sections (see picture). The paint shines and was repainted in the spring of 2009. The body work I performed myself and got the job done. I want you potential buyers to understand. The car is 100 % original from 1966. The doors, fenders, trunk, hood, etc. There are a few ripples in the paint, the aliment between the hood and fender is not factory spec. Its closer in some spots that others. The headlight bezel sits 2-3mm lower than it should. Again, car is ORIGINAL. In very good shape. This car will not disappoint! The engine has under 50 miles. I have never registered the vehicle. I have driven the vehicle around my neighborhood and let the car run every week for 15-20 minutes since I do not drive it. The motor is in perfect shape, very well build motor and very good combination all together in the build. I chose to spend the extra $750.00 for the forged, pistons, rods and crank. I wanted the best of the best! Engine: Engine was built by T&L Engines in North Carolina 347 Stroker with 504 HP (dyno tested before shipped) 453 FT Lbs of Torque 10:1 compression Forged Pistons Forged Rods Forged Crankshaft Ported and Polished Dart Pro 1 Heads 7 quart oil pan Custom Built Holly Carb 750cc double pumper Pertonix Flame Thrower Distributor MSD 6AL Ignition Hooker Headers to a 3" exhaust Cherry Bomb Exhaust Motor has zero miles. With all original parts. As listed some body panels are slightly off.. The car does unfortunately have 4 scratches from working on the car for 2 years. Car was painted 2003 Ford Mustang Mineral Gray. Below are a list of brand new body parts/panels installed. -Brand new rear quarter panels installed in spring 09. Panels are in excellent shape and you cant even tell they were replaced. Headlights Fog Lights Front Bumper Front Valance Front Stone Deflector Front Bumper Guard (not installed yet) Windshield Wipers Arms Rear Window Molding (not installed) Taillight Housing Interior: All stock interior Front carpet has been removed Front and Rear Seats are in good condition Radio is there but does not work No heat, removed whole unit Electronics: I redid the entire electrical system in the car. The car starts when you turn the key, in order to start the car I made a switch board. The switch board brings power to the MSD Ignition System, Holley Fuel Pump and Gauge Lights. When you flip the switch closest to the driver it powers the MSD Ignition, when you turn the key it cranks the car over like usual The second switch powers the fuel pump The third switch powers the lights for all gauges Each switch is powered by individual main relays with a 15amp fuse. The cluster is brand new Auto Meter Gauges with a molded ABS Plastic bezel holding (2) 3/1/4 and (4) 2/1/16's gauges. The gauges display from left to right. Fuel, Water Temperature, Speedometer (not installed), RPM, Oil Pressure and Volts. This car is a true weekend warrior. Turn the key and go! The car hauls ass, has plenty of torque to keep a smile on your face and is a nice classic car. With the money i just spent on the car it is very well worth it. All the mechanical work is done on this car. The car needs minor cosmetic and exterior parts to be a show car. This car cost me just around $25,000.00 to built including buying the car for $7500.00 a few years back. I do have recites for a lot of the parts. As I said before, MY LOSE IS YOUR GAIN! This car is located in Tenafly NJ 07670 I live right around the corner from this municipal building 100 Riveredge Road Tenafly NJ 07670 You can google that see exactly where I am.
