.........................NO RESERVE...................... First year model 1972 Suzuki RV90J Rover, VanVan 90. In the factory original Daytona Blue Here's a dandy 1972 RV90 with just 4,4597 One Owner miles on the clock. She (He?) is mostly all original and runs quietly and well on the original factory tires. All electrics function just fine, except hi beam and the horn. I believe the turn signals may have be optional on the first year model RV-90's, but I'm not sure......they are not on this particular bike and don't show up on Suzuki's own stock photographs either? It has some obvious 'rich patina' (a nice word for corrosion) that does show on this 90cc Rover in different chrome and paint areas and the original owner had over-sprayed some of the black painted items as well as the engine cases, but it's all there. This will be a great little grocery getter or VJMC show bike with some elbow grease and a 'couple new parts or re-plating of the originals. The tail light is tweaked on the fender and the seat cover is a new replacement, but not factory issue. Here's some more info from suzukicycles.org : All the RV models were called "VanVan" in Japan, a word expressing sound like "Bang". It also means like "More and more" or "Keep going on!" in Japanese. RV90 (VanVan 90 in Japan) was marketed in the USA with a catch phrase "Run more and more! She brings you wherever you want" in 1971. Initial frame number: 10001 Initial engine number: 10001 RV 90 J Rover 1972 Overall Length: 1 805 mm (71.1 in) Overall Width: 820 mm (32.3 in) Overall Height: 990 mm (39.0 in) Wheelbase: 1 180 mm (46.5 in) Ground Clearance: 196 mm (7.7 in) Dry Weight: 84 kg (185 lbs) Engine type: 88 cc air-cooled aluminum single cylinder 2-stroke, reed valve. 8 hp/ 6,000 rpm, 7.23 ft-lb/ 4,000 rpm. Question & Answer Answered On Q: Is the original oil injection still hooked up or has it been bypassed? Do you have a transferable title? Thanks.Terry Feb-13-11 A: Hello again Terry, Yes, the 'Posiforce' oil injection is intact. Good title, in fact, this one owner RV90's title is still in the original owner's name (purchased 6/9/1972), almost 39 years ago... pretty cool. I'm pretty sure the original tool kit is still under the seat too. I'll double check that and post pix tomorrow. Good luck bidding. Thanks, Phil ======================================================================== I have just added some photos of the raised seat showing the original tool set and new old stock battery. It (the battery) is correct for the first year RV90 with the factory foam block 'filler'. Later models had a slightly larger one that did not require the foam. The tool set may be incomplete (I found no info on what was supposed to be in it?), but the plastic pencil style tire gauge seems to be a unique item and appears to be in good condition, and the rest of the tools as well. All are nice bonus on this original 'Fat Cat' ! =============================================================== I've tried to show any issues in the attached photos, so please have a good look at all of the pictures. This is a great restoration project.........great basics and not difficult. Or heck, just ride her to the picnic for a hot dog and some pop............ Big fun either way!
