1978 Trans Am T-top car For sale one 1978 Trans Am with tops, this car is an original code 19 Starllight black exterior with black deluxe vinyl interior, I have not ordered the PHS on this car but I doubt that it is a real SE car. It came originally with a Pontiac 400 and auto trans. I bought this car as it sits and the previous owner claims it had been sitting in his shop like this for 15 years or so it currently has an Olds 455 under the hood and he claimed it ran with no knocks but who really knows and after this many years it would need rebuilt anyhow. The car appears to have original paint and decals and would make a great candidate for restoration to original or a Bandit clone like so many people do. The body needs attention in the usual areas the nose, hood, front fenders look good also the shaker which has never been cut open! The doors, rockers rear bumper and trunk lid are all pretty nice. The floor pans will need a small patch in the passenger side front footwell and the driver side front footwell has got a pretty good hole but should be able to be patched pretty easily. The rear quarters need patch panels where the wheels spoilers attatch and lower panels behind the tires, the passenger quarter has a little rust on the lip. The rear valence is in great shape and the trunk pan just has a little starting to go through in the back near the taillights. The t-tops look good and have the original GM bags and the car has the 15x8 snowflake wheels. It appears that all the parts are there to reassemble the car and it was a pretty highly optioned car as well including power windows, locks, tilt, ac, cruise, rear defrost and delay wipers. Actual mileage is unknown the odometer shows 25758 so I would guess its 125758 but who knows. I am sure I am missing some things if you have questions or need more pics let me know and I will do my best to take care of all requests. I am trying to thin out the collection a little bit as I just dont have time anymore to work on these toys. I tried to get pics of most of the bad areas hopefully it shows up.
