Vehicle Detail
TITLE IS NOT SALVAGE!! IT HAS BEEN INSPECTED AND IS A REBUILT TITLE VEHICLE.. LICENSE IN ANY STATE!! Engine sucked in water in 2009. Insurance company salvaged the vehicle. A new engine was put in out of a Dakota R/T. The vehicle was inspected by the state of Alamba and issued a rebuilt title. There is no signs of water damage AT ALL. Interior is clean AND DRY! There is an issue with the truck. I moved back to IL at the beginning of the year. On the trip up here I noticed the truck having a lack of power and when I let it sit overnight I noticed it would smoke on startup. I took it to a local shop in southern IL. they diagnosed it as a cracked head or head gasket. Bought a reman head, valve guide seals, head gasket and had them replace it. The symptom is still there. I have since had it diagnosed as other head valve guide seals causing it to blow bluish white smoke on startup and lower intake manifold (the didnt think this gasket needed changed since they didnt actually remove it) Dodge V8's use a 2 piece manifold and the plenum gasket goes bad causing oil to seep into intake and the motor starts burning oil and lacks power. The motor is not junk and I've already lost a lot of money having these idiots work on the truck. Read these threads about the plenum gasket. http://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen-ram/193817-5-9-plenum.html http://www.dodgetrucks.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=38894 This truck can drive home it will use about 1 quart ever 2,500 miles. The compression test checks out ok, feel free to bring one and see for yourself. It is not a head or ring problem!!!! The 4x4 works great and the transmission shifts wonerfully. The tires are decent. The brakes are good. SAVE A TON OF MONEY!!! BID NOW!!! I ACCEPT PAYPAL!!!On Feb-11-11 at 14:19:18 PST, seller added the following information:The AC Compressor locked up a while back ago and I bypassed it with a different belt. So for AC it will need a new compressor. Thanks!
