CHOOSE BUY IT NOW OPTION AND I WILL INSTALL A NEW SET OF BF GOODRICH WHITE LETTER TA RADIALS AND THROW IN A BRAND NEW NEVER USED CUSTOM FIT CAR COVER WITH CARRY BAG! THE CONVERTIBLE TOP PARADE BOOT IS ALSO INCLUDED WITH THE CAR. 72 Mustang Convertible FRESH RESTORATION! 302 2V 3spd FMX California Car! 49K original Miles This engine Purrs! Car runs and drives very nicely shifts very smoothly, plenty of power and the dual exaust sounds great! NEW PAINT! NEW INTERIOR! NEW POWER CONVERTIBLE TOP! POWER WINDOWS! I started this restoration in late October 2010 and it was just completed late Jan 2011 I have included some photos showing the steps of the restoration process from the car's appearance when I purchased it all the way through completion. EXTERIOR: All of the frame, including floor pans, trunk, shock towers etc. were already in unbelievable original condition, very solid and clean, therefore were not touched! Had the car on a lift at a local shop to have it gone over by a mechanic and he showed me that the bottom of the car was in great condition and that it seemed that most if not all of the exhaust, front end parts and entire suspension looked to be either replaced or in amazing original condition! I had the body and paint done right! fenders, hood and doors were removed before the body was sanded, blocked, straitened and repainted the original color, Bright Metallic Blue. The car was finally sprayed with several coats of clear-coat, wet- sanded and polished to a brilliant mirror finish! NEW PARTS EXTERIOR: New Grille, New Nasa Hood, chrome fender extensions, Front hood lip chrome trim, rear Mach 1 honeycomb tail panel trim and Spoiler and A brand new power convertible Top with all new weather stripping and rear glass window!! rear convertible trim Moldings were re-chromed! Mach 1 decals and striping were added to give it that Muscle car look! All window, door, trunk, marker light and trunk weather stripping and gaskets have been replaced! INTERIOR: Nearly everything inside the car has been replaced with mostly brand new, and a few original used parts. Sound deadeners- carpet-all dash bezels-rear quarter trim panels-dash pad-shifter bezel- factory center console was added and yes the clock works and illuminates!-all seats were redone with Mach 1 comfort weave upholstery Deluxe Door panels with chrome strip moldings-rear view mirror-Turn signal lever- sun visors etc. I installed a New 240W after- market 4 channel AM-FM stereo designed to replicate the classic look of the original radio. It features digital display with a USB port for playing music off a flash drive, an MP3 or IPOD jack and output for a cd changer . I also removed and replaced the instrument cluster due to minor pitting in the black painted face with one showing 32000 miles and replaced all the light bulbs and clear lens before installing all the dash components. I did save the original speedo face showing the original 49000 miles and it goes with the car. Title transfer also shows the original 49000 miles. MECHANICAL: Front end steering and suspension components seem to be fairly new or like-new. Same can be said for rear suspension. I did add a new set of adjustable air shocks to give the car a little LIFT in the rear. The rear end seemed to have a minor growl so I replaced it and had the drive shaft balanced as well. All rear brake lines and new brakes front and rear. New power steering pump and new battery. Tires seem to have many miles left on them! They are Remington 70 R15s. I will put on a new set of BF Goodrich white letter TAs though, If I get what I want for the car. OTHER GOODIES! Replaced existing radio antennae with a powered antennae. Installed mercury switched courtesy lights under hood and in trunk! Installed a custom fit high quality trunk carpeting kit with tire cover! Installed a 12 volt three receiver power out- let mounted on lower dash near center console to power your accessories, IE: GPS, Phone charger. I also want to state that as far as I know the engine and trans are the original, though I'm not really a classic car guru and am not sure how to verify it. I am open to all "REASONABLE OFFERS" on this car, but please be advised I do not NEED to sell it so Please no rediculous LOW-BALL offers! If your a serious buyer make an offer, if it's fair, it's yours! I guarantee you wont be dissapointed! This car is not a Ten-Point Meuseum $30,000.00 show car but is a very beautiful restored every day driver. It looks and feels like a newer car in and out. Drives like it also! I would have no reservation about a road trip coast to coast in this beauty!! Please be advised There is NO warranty expressed or implied on this vehicle!
