Vehicle Detail

1970 Plymouth Cuda Original numbers matching engine; transmission is not numbers matching (A-727), 43,527 actual original miles. Build sheet, fender tags(build codes and Trans-Am), original air cleaner and correct date-coded carburetors. Car is missing hood, exhaust manifolds, original oil pan and distributor. 15x7 rally wheels included with car as well as original NOS side exhaust and stripe kit. Car needs total restoration, some surface rust but no body cancer at all. Original options include quick ratio steering and 3.91 rear gears. Engine was removed from car for security purposes. Local pick-up only. A very rare find to get a numbers matching car. Add TLC to obtain one of the most desireable pony cars of the era. Ask any and all questions before bidding as the sale will be final.Good Luck! .On Feb-08-11 at 18:48:46 PST, seller added the following information: I want to thank everyone for their interest in this car. It has been in our family for over 35 years, and selling it is a hard thing to do. That being said, I need to disclose some things that I didn't mention in the original listing. One important thing is that the car does not have the original core support. The car was involved in a collision before it was purchased by our family. The core support was replaced. Some work was done to the passenger side splash pan, and to the P side door. The cowl is original, and has the matching numbers for the VIN stamped into it. There are two small rust through spots at the base of the windshield, and one at the rear window. These are very typical for this car. In the original listing I stated that the car will need a complete restoration. I mean this in no uncertain terms. The interior will need to be completely redone, and the body will need a 100% workover. The engine will need to be completely rebuilt. The brake system will need to be replaced. Tha value of this car lies in the fact that it has survived with the original numbers matching TA block and heads, manifold, and date coded carburetors. The NOS OEM sneakers pipes are worth quite a bit by themselves. I have had many questions about the fender tags and the broadcast sheet. I will have pictures posted of both tags and the sheet by tomorrow night. Forgive me for not having more pictures, but it was raining and the light was going away when I shot the photos. I have had requests for more detailed photos, but that will most likely not happen, as the car is once again locked in the garage, and an hour away from me. Some folks not familiar with the MoPar TA cars have asked about the engine. All 'Cuda AARs were built with the 340 cu. in. LA TA engine with 3-2 barrel carburetion. This car backs that with a Slap-Stick Auto. The car is a survivor of the streets and dragways of the 1970's. It needs a great deal of work, but if you know what you are looking at, then you know the value of this car in restored condition. Look at other AAR values and see what the difference between "numbers matching" and "not numbers matching" means to the final value of the car. As I said, I will gladly answer any questions about the car. I would like to see the new owner excited about bringing one of Chrysler Corporations finest creations back to life.On Feb-09-11 at 17:50:12 PST, seller added the following information: Broadcast Sheet and Fender Tags
