1983 Honda CB

Up for auction is this awesome, and rare, 1983 Honda CB1100F. My understanding is this was a one-year only model before they went to the V4. I will list everything I can think of, and include a whole bunch of pictures to review. Don't forget to look at the pictures below, as well. My guess is that if you are looking for one of these, this would be the one...Very clean and no major issues. I have had many folks just freak out about how clean they say this bike is! I am selling this bike for a dear friend who is a retired CHP in his late 60's that doesn't eBay! I have seen him on this bike since he got it over 10 years ago, and have gone on rides with him (I'm an R1 Yamaha guy!). He takes great care of his vehicles (car/truck/harley/this bike). 1983 4 cylinder in-line 1100cc 28845.4 miles (instrument panel picture has glare...It is in great condition) Bike is located in Calimesa, CA 92320 (for pick-up purposes) Clean title in CA, and tags are good through August 2011 Aftermarket seat/cover (don't have original) Aftermarket Vance & Hines exhaust can (don't have original muffler) Handle grips have been changed, and are not original style. Has one small ding in the fuel tank at front/left side of seat/tank transition where your left thigh would rest against the tank...Not a daunting problem, and you probably can't even see it in the pics Speedometer cable started howling 50 miles ago, and I had to take it out yesterday because I thought it might snap Engine has a cam chain (or I was told it is common for it to be an internal drive chain from crank to trans) that has a small rattle at initial start at idle. I have also heard this is common to these, and is no big deal. It has done it for over 6 years, and has not worsened Has typical road wear, but for the mileage, it is exceptionally little, and is the cleanest 30 year old bike (almost 30) I've run across! I think everything else is in exceptional or very, very good condition Would guess 2 owners, as the last transfer, here, was 2001, and previous owner acted like he bought it new, according to Carl (owner) Pick-up only, or buyer can set up shipping on their own. I will of course be here to assist in making the bike available to the shipping agency If someone is local enough and wants to see it, I am happy to show it I expect questions, and will be happy to answer them as I can, but I am not a true expert on this particular model. I would imagine folks seeking one of these out know more than I do already! This is a private party, not a dealer, and if someone is unhappy at pickup, I don't expect them to pay for it...Just assist me if I need help getting my final fee back from eBay.
