I am the 2nd Owner of this beautiful BMW 1997 BMW 740IL Flagship Model.....The Best of the Best! I hate having to sell my car but the Insurance company has tied my hands! Car is located in Port Charlotte, FL 33948 Please read my auction entirely before placing a bid i am going to be very descriptive so you fully understand the vehicle being offered for sale. This BMW is in spectacular condition! There wasn't a ding on it anywhere prior to the very minor accident. The Black leather interior is like the day it was made with absolutely NO WEAR! The leather smells NEW! Not one spot of rust anywhere!No leaks whatsoever! Engine runs perfectly! Transmission shifts effortlessly! The engine is SO powerful it runs like a brand new BMW (actually better a friend of mine has the Brand new 750LI and this BMW runs BETTER!) The transmission couldn't be any better shifts absolutely perfectly and silky smooth. Tinted glass throughout including above the rearview mirror (which includes a transferrable, lifetime nationwide warranty with paperwork included) New front rotors and brake pads less then 1 year ago,rear brake pads have approximately 15k remaining. The 16 inch factory BMW Mesh style wheels are wrapped in Goodyear assurance matching tires P235/60/16(factory size) with approximately 20k tred life remaining.spare in the trunk is a Michelin energy MXV4 with decent tred life remaining but not as much as the installed tires on a full size spare. I installed very expensive projection headlights as well as smoked out LED tail lights and fog lights and side lights.(they really work well super bright and are a classy touch to this BMW) I used Mobile 1 Full synthetic oil with extended life(15k mile rated oil but i still changed every 2,500-3,000 miles) ICE COLD A/C and Excellent heat. Heated steering wheel as well as heated seats front & Rear. one touch windows/sunroof(with a tap of a button window(s)/sunroof go up without having to hold the button. Factory security system works perfectly which includes motion dector.When someone breaks into the vehicle doors cannot be opened until system is disarmed! If you hold the Lock/unlock button windows/sunroof will either fully open or close from outside the vehicle. Factory stereo system which includes cd changer in the trunk ,built in tweeters,eq and amplifier.sounds so incredile like you're right there in concert. Blacked out front grilles were added for a more sportier look. Built in factory phone. All owners manuals/leather carrying case/BMW Flashlight/original key are included. The color of the vehicle is listed as grey but is like a plum grey which is so smooth and glossy and is a wonderful compliment to the flawless black leather interior. Headlight washers are equipped on this vehicle. All woodgrain with the exception of the shifter is in excellent flawless condition(the shifter has hard to see stress cracks (common on this vehicle from the sun beating down on it from its location) Factory BMW floor mats with footrest are included The leather seats are perfect ,smell and look new and are so very comfortable i use to always tell my wife how the seats fit my body like a glove,they are heated with lumbar and i believe they are 11 way adjustable but not certain,even the knect is adjustable so relaxing(sometimes i use to not want to get out of this car thats how awesome they feel i use to hide in this car from the wife from time to time(monthly)lol! Power mirrors/windows/locks,cruise,tilt,rear defog,power glass sliding,venting sunroof/moonroof,power trunk,power tilting,telescoping steering wheel all work perfectly! Sunvisor mirrors and lights all work! I babied this car waxing it once a month minimum,always garaged kept,i use to wax the door jambs and lubricate every piece of leather/plastic/weatherstripping. I'll never find another in this condition no way no how! I just cant tell you how enjoyable this BMW is ive owned every kind of car you can think of from ferarri to Mercedes to JAG to rolls and this is my all time favorite! Ok so i'm driving about 30MPH around Christmas and its a beautiful day im cruising sunroof open windows down about 75 degrees in beautiful southwest Florida when out of nowhere a 69 yr old fellow Florida resident(on his 69th birthday)pulls out of one shopping center trying to cut across to another when i slid into him striking his passenger front fender!!(boy was i pissed!) There is no frame damage,no structual damage if any purely minor and superficial! What's needed?: Front bumper cover,driver front fender,bumper reinforcement,1-2 hour(s)hood repair,hood release cable needs to be reconnected but opens and closes fine still. The driver side headlamp struck the radiator(plastic)putting a hole on the upper portion of the radiator(so i didnt use alot of fluid and i shut the engine down immediately after the accident so there was absolutely no overheating whatsoever)The headlamp may or may not be reuseable it does work but has some damge to the plastic housng but the glass is fine as well as both bulbs. You will also need cosmetic trim pieces i.e chrome mouldings/headlamp washer which were mounted to the bumper cover(these piecesare present on drivers side) im trying to think of what else may be needed to fix this vehicle but really is'nt going to take much beside the parts some body wrok on the hood(very,very minor) and of course paint. if i was able to repair this vehicle myself i could do it cheaply! Here's why i am selling my BMW: The insurance company Totaled this vehicle for this little damage citing costs of repairs higher than value(mind you this vehicle still has an excellent kelly blue book and N.A.D.A) furthermore giving it a Certificate of destruction which means it can never be registered on Florida Highways again,However most states will allow you to rebuild this vehicle after repairs have been made and granting the repaired vehicle to obtain a Rebuilt title as a matter of fact when i originally purchased this vehilce it had a prior fender bender which caused it to have a previous rebuilt Florida title.Never any major damage to this vehicle Ever!! Do not buy this car if you live in Florida and plan on driving it on Florida highways,not going to happen,only buy this car in florida if you need parts from it,however if you live outside of Florida check with your local DMV or state police to see if you can rebuild a salvage,certificate of destruction Florida vehicle in your state(in mostly all states this is not a problem or issue) The salvage title/certificate of destruction is still being processed through dmv and the insurance company but i will have in my possession soon (insurance company said dont look for it for about a month and its been over a week already so by the time this auction is over and pick up arrangemnets have been made i will either have all paperwork for this BMW or shortly thereafter and will overnight to new owner once full payment has been recieved. This BMW has always been garaged and it sits in my garage as i list it here for sale,it is ready to go,starts right up and drives like it was never in an accident(you will need to tow this vehicle or install a new radiator if you plan on driving it home(which it will drive anywhere with a new radiator dont even give it a second thought it is a 100% dependable excellent running shifting handling automobile!
