SNOW SNOW SNOW SNOW ICE ICE ICE HAIL HAIL HAIL I had a bad feeling about this winter... so I went out and bought this 4X4 Explorer in October! Boy was I on the money... Its a 1995 Teal Greenish Blue with Saddle Interior...220k on her... She looks like she is a 2 year old SUV... The proverbial Little Old Lady from PA owner her... One owner since 1995... Obviously well maintained and taken care of... Paint is very shiny and glossy... No dents, some nicks here and there, I touched em up... Chrome Bumpers are perfect... Lil rust spot on drivers side rear wheel well, that I expoxied and rust proofed and touched up... Rims are perfect and look BRAND NEW! Tires are brand new...less then 1k on them... Interior is amazing, looks like no one ever sat in the back seat or hatch was never used! Driver side had some wear in the leather that I patched up... Carpet is perfect... the truck is what I like to call an Explorer "Almost Eddie"! its loaded with all the options an Eddie Bauer has... SUNROOF LEATHER AM/FM casette 6 CD CHANGER POWER EVERYTHING AUTO PUSH BUTTON 4x4 Power SEATS, POWER LUMBAR,DRIVER/PASSENGER Best part is everything works!, EVERYTHING! from the 4X4 to the CD Changer, power windows, door locks, power sun-roof, cruise control....EVERYTHING WORKS! since I purchased the vehicle I have done the following: New GOODYEAR tires Front & Rear Rain X Weather Beater Wipers all exterior bulbs replaced headlight Bulbs replaced with Sylvania HID Bulbs new floor mats new steering wheel cover Exterior Detailed and Interior shampooed, I have OCD! Oil Changes have been Synthetic since she was new...and was just changed in November with Mobil 1 SYN... She rides down the road perfectly straight, no shimmy no wobble...actually rides like new! Brakes are great, stops on a dime... Shocks are fine, no issues... at approxiamtely 40MPH to 55MPH the tranny will "rev", I simply shift her down to 2nd gear, after I get her to 55MPH I shift back into DRIVE gear and she cruises perfectly... I drive it every day 60-80 miles a day on RT.78 at 75 MPH with NO issue! She has gotten me thorugh each and every snow storm this year with flying colors! and I took a recent trip to PA, 250 miles with NO PROBLEM! Got her to 75 MPH hit the cruise button and cruisssssed! If youre a mechanic or related to a mechanic (LOL) it may be an easy fix...BUT it has not been a problem for me! This is an excellent winter truck for snow driving when you dont want to take out your "baby"... Or a great truck for those trips to Home Depot to throw a few bags of mulch and top soil in the back! Throw a plow on her and make some $$$$ this winter! So in summary... a verrrrry good condtion LOADED w OPTIONS 1995 Ford Explorer (Almost Eddie) XLT SUV with 220,000 miles that looks great and will serve whatever purpose you have in store for her!
