The previous owner took amazing care of this vehicle in EVERY way and it shows. This Audi will come with a VA state inspection, to assure that it is in great condition. If this cars odometer read 20,000 miles, your wouldnt contest it, it truly is that incredible. THIS CAR DRIVES LIKE NEW!!! EVERYTHING ON OR IN THIS CAR WORKS PERFECTLY. If you are in the market for an Audi B5 S4 Avant there is non nicer, I will absolutely bet the world on it. I have been a previous owner of 2 B5 S4's and know these cars very very well and this is the greatest example of an Avant for sale on the market, I can say that with confidence for numerous reasons. One is the overall visual condition, the exterior is near perfect and the interior is just the same. This car has the absolutely finest and most impressive service history I have ever seen on a pre-owned vehicle and its easy for a dealer to say a car has been maintained its another to have every single record since DAY 1 of ownership. If your looking at this car, I dont need to tell you how these things will run forever and run like they did with 10k miles when they actually have 100K IF and only IF they have been maintained and this car has been more than maintained. History and Service This car was a special order vehicle back in 08/1999 by the original owner, with documents to prove so. The buyer wanted this car so bad because of the rarity, he paid for it in full and over MSRP. Just to give you an idea from 2000-2003 Audi only sold 1,461 S4 Avants total in the US, and only 286 were 6MT. In 2001 there were only 4 yes 4, Silver over Black Avants with 6MT, so this car is beyond rare. All of this info is available online too. The 1st owner was a doctor that owned his own practice here in Richmond, VA and was an absolute car guy. This car was air controlled stored in his 7 car garage along with a 993 turbo, and other collectables (his new daily driver is the V10 S8). This Audi was actually the only car he kept for longer than 5 years besides the 993 turbo. The ENTIRE time he owned the car it was serviced at West Broad Audi where the car was purchased new. The records on the Carfax show just a fraction of the services that were performed while he owned the car as he had 3 lifts in his garage ( to double stack cars ) and often he would have oil changes and brakes services done at his residence for covinence. The 2nd owner and last owner was actually good friends with the 1st owner, (as he told us, the doctor would not sell the car to anyone he didnt know or didnt have a great appreciation for the car..lol) This owner, needless to say picked up right were the car left off service wise and serviced the Audi at the best well known Porsche / Audi service station in all of Richmond, Import AutoHaus. As you will see below, the 2nd owner spend over $5,000 in servicing the vehicle there as the car was approaching the 70k-100k mile mark and ofcourse that is about the time the original parts start to need replacing. Keep in mind, when owners like this (wealthy car nuts ) own a car, they repair item before they break to save further issues and major problems. This car was almost serviced beyond Audi recommendations. The 2nd owner bought the car on 10-14-2008 and on 10-24-2008 he had it in for brand new rotors, pads, and CV boots, As you see after that it was in Import Auto Haus for oil changes, major 80K service ( spark plugs, drive belts, oil change, cabin filter, etc) Timing belt, water pump, thermostat, serp belt, Power Steering Pump, etc at 92k miles (over $2000 service) Since then typical services and other replacement service like, wheel bearing kits, brake service, oil changes, etc. As you see this car has been amazingly well serviced and that is why it drives like a brand new car. Not only are you getting car that looks like new but a car that you know for sure has been cared for by 2 true car enthusast. Exterior ConditionThe exterior of this Audi is in amazing condition for the miles and has been amazingly well cared for. This car is 100% accident free, all panels are 100% original, and there is ZERO bondo on the car. There is actually ZERO paint work on the entire car too which is very rare for a 2001 with 100k miles. The back bumper had a few stress cracks in the paint and on any other car, we would have left it alone, but this is too nice of a car so our body shop repainted it. The paint on the car looks brand new, it has a great shine and a super smooth finish as it was garaged kept since day 1. The wheels are in BRAND NEW condition with not 1 tiny blemish, that alone speaks highly of the condition, these wheels on the S4 stick out the tires just a tad and its very very common to see these wheel curb rashing. I tried to include as many pictures as possible so you can see the true condition of the car. Please also take the time to enjoy the HD video walk around. You will be more than impressed with with the condition of exterior. Please keep in mind, as NICE as this car is condition wise, its still is a 2001 with 100K so PLEASE expect a small amount of wear, but rest assure it will be very minimal. I have 2008 model cars on my lot that dont show as well as this Avant. Interior ConditionThe interior of this vehicle is in Audi is in great condition. The first thing you actually notice when you get in is the smell of leather. The front leather seats look great overall for the age, these seats typically show a lot of wear specially on the B5's but these show very little, the back seats almost look new. The carpets throughout looks great and show no stains or wear. There are ZERO cigarette burns or any odors that would indicate it was a smokers vehicle and the lighter is un-used. The door panels are very clean as is the entire dash and console area. The radio lights are perfect as are all dash lights. The center cluster does have a few dead pixels but you can read everything, there are more good pixels than bad by far. The photos below will show EVERY part of the interior so you can see for yourself how clean it is. The interior is a 9 out of 10. The S4 is loaded up will EVERY option. Motor / Drivetrain / ConditionThis Audi is in great condition in every way, the motor runs great and is very very strong. The turbos are in great condition and spool very fast. All driving components work just as they should, the clutch is nice and tight and shifts very smooth, the brakes work great, the steering is very firm and tight, and the complete drive-train has no issues. This car is an absolute blast to drive with the 6 speed manual tranny. I had a 2001 S4 sedan and I thought the Avant would drive a little different and but you have no idea your driving a wagon when you are in this car. The suspension is firm/sporty yet comfortable and is a perfect mix for daily driving. This car is 100% stock and always has been, both previous owners where car gurus that had cars with double the HP of this Avant and they both did the right thing by leaving this rare car in it natural form.
