Vehicle Detail
Selling for original owner. She drove into the garage for last time in 1992. The tags expierd and it never left that garage until I rolled it out for pictrures last week. It has absolutly no body damage. No cracks in glass and windows work. Convertable top is good. Interior is good except headliner needs replaced and passenger side trash pocket is separating. Three small rust spots on paint; one under each side of Targa emblem (shown in picture) and one above front bumper. Ran great in 1992, then started a few times after tags expired. It now rolls good and steers. I did NOT hookup a new battery to try to start it. Leave that excitement to new owner. Brakes seem to work but would not trust hoses and seals after 20 years of sitting and probibly clean out carberators. Other than that, it might run and drive to your home. NO RESERVE.On Feb-03-11 at 17:10:23 PST, seller added the following information: Selling for original owner. She drove into the garage for last time in 1992. NO RESERVE Detail of rust issues. Under side of pan has several spots of surface rust and one 3" diameter repairable hole behind drivers seat where passenger feet would be. Engine comp is clean with NO rust spots. Battery well has surface rust, straps still in tact. Front part of trunk bottom above front bumper has serface rust, and a little under right side of spare tire. Most of these are now shown with new pictures except for rust hole in pan. Engine is clean with exception of oil and grease on under side. On Feb-03-11 at 17:39:55 PST, seller added the following information: The Shock Towers are in excelent condidton with no rust. I now have 3 pictures of the inside and outside of shoock towers included with other pictures. I welcome bidders to come look at this automobile in personOn Feb-04-11 at 15:47:14 PST, seller added the following information: More info: The Number on Engine block is *4094285* The paint number on door jam is 6825-L I have now done a thorough inspection of entire car including putting it up on stands and getting underneath. It is in good shape but I do need to add the following observations. All suspension bolt mounts on underside are solid, no rust problems. The left jack mount has surface rust but is solid. The rightt jack mount is clean. The rust hole in pan behind the drivers seat is larger than described above. It is about 4" wide and 12" long. I would weld some new metal on it. Most of underside still has the undercoating on it. Also there is some rust on piant in very front center of car and a rust spot in lower rear of driver side door jam area. On Feb-08-11 at 11:31:53 PST, seller added the following information: OK: I could not resist any longer. I have now brought Porsche to my shop, and have turned the motor with a wrench on crank shaft. It turns easy. NOT seized. Also the transmission rolls in neutral, and with clutch depressed in all 5 gears. Should be good. Again, it was running good when parked. I also now have a copy of the original GA new car Title from same owner as current TN title that I will scan and e-mail to any bidders who ask.
