Vehicle Detail
Last time this will be listed! Up for sale I have a 1997 Cadillac Catera. I am only selling it because I no longer have the time to fix it... nor do I want to mess with it anymore. I've put a TON of money into this car. It doesn't need much to get it running, therefore you are getting a fairly decent car for cheap. The car is in decent shape for being a 1997. It has almost ZERO rust... there is a very small spot on the door from a small dent, and some very minor seam rust on the radiator support, it's almost unnoticeable. The front bumper does have some paint chipping off of it. The car was in an accident about 12 years ago, so the fender/hood/grille doesn't line up properly, but with minor adjustments, it could be nearly unnoticeable. The rear center lens on the trunklid has a crack/hole in it, and the 3rd eye brake light was broken and has electrical tape on it. 76,000 miles, 3.0 V6, 4L30-E transmission, Fully loaded (leather, moonroof, heated seats (unknown if working), Bose audio system with CD changer (don't know if CD changer works), AC (Needs charged!) Most of the common problems these cars have has been fixed... I replaced the timing belt, idlers AND the tensioner with a high quality Gates setup. The OEM tensioners are known to fail.... this is no longer a worry on this car. I also replaced the water pump with a OEM GM water pump; this is not a cheap Chinese aftermarket one, but a OEM one made in Germany. The oil cooler has been deleted (The cars seriously don't need it, trust me I've done this delete to 2 other Cateras without a problem) and has been replaced with a good quality stainless steel braided bypass hose with AN fittings. I also replaced the horrendous plastic valve covers with the better Saab aluminum ones. Car will need to be towed of course... just making this clear! The only reason I have the Title section listed above as "Other" is because the car has a NJ title, meaning that if you are the winning bidder, upon pickup we will need to go to my local Highway Patrol station to get a VIN inspection, then to a Title office to get a Clear Ohio title. It can then be Notarized at a bank out of my name, and off you go! The car needs the following - Serpentine belt 1 harmonic balancer bolt Battery Fluids (Coolant, oil) The oil will need to be flushed out the first time you run it due to it sitting for a while. Car has NO oil in it right now. Rear resonator (Mufflers are there, just the resonator came off) Fog lights Rear LED 3rd eye brake light Taillight lens in the middle Idler arm Tires I am 100% certain this car should run and drive fine after all the repairs are done, HOWEVER I can not guarantee it, mainly because the car has been sitting nearly 2 years. Therefore the car is being sold AS-IS with no guarantees implied. $250 deposit is due 48 hours after the auction closes and car must be picked up on the 14th day. Thanks and happy bidding! To expedite the sale... I lowered the reserve to $900.00. This is my ABSOLUTE bottom dollar due to all the money I put into it. Any more and I would be losing out enormously. I am only revealing the reserve because I need to sell it. On Feb-03-11 at 05:11:19 PST, seller added the following information: I will add this since I was recommended to. Winning bidder MUST abide to all conditions when purchasing this car. This means the $250 deposit is due 48 hours after the auction closes, and the car must be picked up on the 14th day. If these are conditions are not met, legal action will be taken in order to compensate for my lost eBay fees and time wasted. On Feb-06-11 at 15:29:33 PST, seller added the following information: If auction makes it to $1000, I will throw in a set of service manuals.
